Does not abide by law 8/1/2008

I was at the Coast Guard House tonight and was amazed at how many people were smoking on the deck (less than 50 feet from the doors). There has been a smoking ban in RI since March 2005 but yet Judge Caprio thinks he is above the law. People are not supposed to be smoking on the deck at the coast guard house according the the law. The staff is very misinformed about the law. The food is disgusting!!! especially on the deck. The place is over rated. the only good thing is the view. Judge Caprio (one of the owner's)is so blind to what is going on with the place. Poor Deb Kelso, who is trying to sell her part of the business so she does not have to deal with idiots like caprio and formicola who are driving the place into an early grave. Pros: good view and that's it Cons: allow people to smoke when its against the law more

The food is just awesome, and while it is a bit on the pricey side, with the food and the view both being so amazing, it's totally worth it!! I highly recommend Coast Guard house for brunch!! I was in the mood for clamcakes so after we left the beach a friend of mine and I decided to try the Coast Guard house. The service was horrendous and the seafood horrible the waitress would just drop whatever she was serving at the time on our table and practically run away without checking if we were ok.Would not go back and I had heard all this hype about the Coast Guard House. Pros: nice view, inexpensive Cons: , no parking more
