Dr. Lautt actively participates in the following associations and organizations:

American Association of Orthodontics(AAO), American Dental Association(ADA), California Othodontic Association(COA), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics(PCSO), Ventura and Santa Barbara Dental Society. During your initial visit,Dr. Lautt will recommend and explain a personalized orthodontic treatment that addresses your specific needs. Once treatment has started,proper oral hygiene is a must and will be evaluated at every appointment. It is critical that the teeth are brushed thoroughly after every meal or snack and flossing is recommended at least one time each day.

* Gloves,goggles,and masks are worn by the doctor and assistants.
* Hands are washed and new gloves are worn with each new patient.
* All hand pieces are cleaned,bagged and sterilized between patients.
* Sterilization is conducted in accordance with guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Center.
* Autoclaves or dry heat sterilizers are used to sterilize instruments according to manufacturers recommendations.
* Coastal Orthodontic Care tests all sterilization equipment weekly(verified by lab analysis).
