If you like customer service, then don't pick Coastal. Their communication is very sub par after the install is complete. Once their up and running, you get exactly what you pay for, and nothing more. Budget cost for budget service. Very mom-and-pop and there is no formal process for cancelling with them. You have to go through the whole email / phone call runaround. more

Simply the Best! 5/15/2012

Switched my alarm service a few times in the past. Moved and decided to go with Coastal. They have been in Charleston since 1959 so I figured they must be alright. Best decision I could have made. Great service and the rates haven't gone up. I am also able to spend my money on a local company! more

excellent alarm company 11/23/2005

We have a 2 year contract with Coastal Alarm and are about 8 months into the contract. We have been extremely pleased with Coastal. I had some hesitation about installing an alarm at first but now that it is in, I am so glad. Coastal has a very professional staff and they explain everything about the systems before they leave, plus test it for you. The alarms are easy to arm and easy to test, etc. If you ever have to call them, they have excellent customer service. There are a lot of alarm companies in the area, but I highly recommend Coastal if you are considering them. I could not be any more pleased. PROS: professional staff CONS: none more
