Club Getaway

Club getaway, just what we were looking for. The weekend was action packed from the start, we took the bus option and meet a bunch of great people on the way up, food and drink was included on the bus. We went from a small bunch of singles to a large group of people ready for anything they threw at us. Upon arrival we were greeted with a appetizers and more drinks. They also have this cool little night club thing down on the lake front. We were served three mouth watering meals on the Saturday and exhausted ourselves on as many activities as we could handle. Saturday night rolled around with a great theme party, we all got dressed up and joined in the fun. Sunday brought another awesome breakfast and then some more activities before we waived good byes to our new made friends. Cabins were great and just we expected them to be, staff were also more than helpful with our registration and querries during the weekend. more

So, I just came back from attending the Fall Finale at Club Getaway. I was pleasantly surprised as to what i walked into! I went up by myself so i was extremely hesitant. But i needed a weekend away from my everyday stresses of being in the city. That's exactly what i found. I was able to attend yoga and Zumba classes and bike ride during the day ,and end my night with a fabulous extravagant party in their transformed Boat House. It was a crazy night of costumes, haunted houses, and dancing! Ending with a delectable breakfast in their Mountain House, needless to say i left Club Getaway with a full spirit and full tummy. :-) more

I was extremely impressed. The activities were so much fun!!! My favorites were zip lining and the wine tasting class...But there is such a variety of activities to do here. I was reminded of all these activities that I forgot I loved to do. On top of all that, it was like my camp I went to when I was a kid. It had rustic cabins with twin beds in a single room, theres no TVs but you dont notice or need them. Fact is I loved my weekend and I can't wait for next season to start! more

I really enjoy Club Getaway... but you must be expecting camp. You will be dissapointed if you are expecting a five star spa & resort because that is not what you will get... and yes there are can be bugs... your in the country.. but if your having the time of your life.. what is the harm in a couple musquito? To describe Club Getaway is to describe something unique and fantastic. They offer a camp for grownups but it's completely different from the camp that you experienced as a kid. Think keg softball, pub hiking, zumba, pilates, yoga, waterfront bar, theme parties, live bands, trapeze, waterskiing and meeting tons of new people. Yes the cabins are cabins.. not bunk beds cabins.. but rustic cabins with air conditioning and housekeeping. The food is also incredible. I hold a special place in my heart for The Club they offer such a wonderful experience.. I have met some of my best friends there... it comes highly recommended from me! more

I can?t recommend this place to anyone. I feel ripped off. I went there to try new things like water ski and trapez but it is hard to get a spot for these activities. The sign up process is unprofessional and you have to be extremely lucky to get what you want. Their staff are volunteers and low paid foreign students who are sometimes more focused on their own fun but they charge you top dollar. It is not worth the money!!! The cabins are dirty and disgusting. They give you stained towels and the sheets are dirty. I was bitten by bed bugs or fleas all over my legs. more

I came to use the watersports. I was particularly looking forward to windsurfing which they advertised on their website. When I got there I found out that all the windsurfers were broken and they made no attempt the entire season to fix or replace them. Customer service was unresponsive and did not provide compensation for this lack of service. Pros: Lunches were good. Trapeze staff were nice. Cons: Everything else. more
