Worst

Great book for Children 9 months to 2 years old. Their have fun learning to count at 1 and two year olds. And the Babies will love the color of the book.

wonderful local resource 2/2/2007

Clove lakes bookstore is a wonderful resource especially when looking for books for school. I have been going there since i was 12 years old and now my 17 year old son goes there for what he needs. yes Barnes and Noble is fun to hang out and browse around but when i just need to quickly pick up a book, I run to clove lakes. they have never let me down. Have always had what I needed. The classics and test taking books are always on hand. Fine knowledgable people run the place. So much better than a big impersonal experience. Great bookstore 11/15/2005

I usually go here if I need a book fast, because its local. Its family owned and the service is courteous and very helpful. Much better than going to Barnes and Noble, because its more personal and effectively caters to your needs. If they don't have a certain book, they order it and you will recieve it promptly (most often the next day). Support this local bookstore, because its great! more

Clove Lake Book Store has a very good selection of good books. The book store is organized and the staff is very helpful in finding the books you want. If they don't have what you are looking for let them know and they can order it for you. The store has a very friendly atmosphere. The prices are not bad. more

Support Local Booksellers! 8/15/2005

Barnes and Noble and Borders are fun to browse and have a huge selection, but they strangle the local bookseller. Clove Lake Books may be the only independent bookstore left on staten island (i cant think of any others) and i would hate to see it go. If you're a teacher, you can call them and have your summer reading lists ordered there for your kids. And if you are browsing for books, go to Clove Lakes Bookstore! They might not have everything on hand, but their staff is so much more knowledgeable than the pimply teenagers who work at the big chains. They'll order anything you want. more

Clove Lake Bookstore 7/27/2005

The Clove Lake Bookstore is a really great place for avid readers and students. They have a lot of study guides and can order textbooks for you. The store is a nice size for an independent bookstore, and has a realy nice selection of books, both new and old. The Clove Lake Bookstore will gladly order books that you are interested in, provided that they are still in print. I used to get a lot of my required reading for my English classes here, and they have never disappointed me. Parking can be a problem, but that is the only drawback to this great independently owned bookstore. more
