Clopper's Mill Dental Care

Good: New to our Met Life Dental care plan we selected Clopper’s Mill Dental Care because of its convenient location. As we later learned the practice is owned by a Dr. Adams and Dr. Norkiewicz . The attending dentists at the time, Dr. Spievak and Dr. Oh, were very attentive and attempted to provide the best possible care. The hygienists and assistants were also very professional and courteous.. Bad: Our dental needs as a family where probably slightly above normal. After multiple procedures which included cleaning, periodontal scaling, planning and crown work we collectively exhausted our allotted insurance coverage for the year. I personally had crown work done which required no less than three visits and two temporary’s to get the fit to Dr. Spievak’s satisfaction and prior to his resigning from this office. In spite of the effort problems persisted which ultimately involved Dr. Oh.. Improvements: A long story shortened my concern, reasons and basis for this subpar review is the method in which the owners and administrative staff at this office handled my account and insurance claims process. There were many documented errors in accounting and a lack of accountability on the part of ownership to insure that the issues were addressed in a prompt and courteous fashion. In this regard I feel the “Mill” portion of this offices name fits the bill.. Other: A word of caution. Make sure you attempt to communicate and clearly understand what your insurance covers and how much before you move forward with any type of care at this location. Also double check which doctor is under your plan’s coverage as I was instructed to do, as it is my responsibility. Do not accept what is posted online as accurate. An oversight in this regard could lead to confusion and extra costs to the patient. MAKE SURE to check your invoice carefully.. more

After taking numerous x-rays without apparent cause, not telling me they weren't in my dentist network, and then telling me to come back and see a different dentist after mine couldn't help, I decided to go elsewhere. more

We've been using Clopper Mill Dental for years. The main doctor, Dr Teitler, is not the friendliest - but the staff he hires are. The office is newly renovated, able to serve many more people at a time. They have a great section/area for the kids to play while the adults are being seen. They see adults and children, though they are not specifically a pediatric dentist. You generally do not have to wait long for an appointment, and they can usually fit emergency work in. They have pretty flexible hours, evenings and weekends are available. They are good with the insurance, but they do expect their portion (that insurance won't pay) that day. They always have 'new client' specials available, ask first and you can save a lot of money. At your checkup, they will go over all of your teeth and propose a written treatment plan for any work that needs to be done. This plan includes your cost, so you can budget effectively. It's as friendly a place as a dentist office can be - with good doctors and nice staff. more
