Clive Stephens Plumbing

I was incredibly disappointed in Clive Stephens Plumbing Company, and I did not get plumbing work done by Mr. Stephens. My disappointment was in his attempt to gouge me with his price. He gave me a quote of $675 for a simple leak repair, and then charged me $65 for the estimate. I did not go with Clive Stephens because of the horrible review I received on his work from a company who used him. The long and short of the review was that his work was subpar, and the company had to hire another plumber to fix the work Clive Stephens did. I decided to cancel the appointment for him to fix the leak in my pipe. I called two other plumbers who first and foremost, came to my house and gave me an estimate for the repairs at no cost. Second, the highest estimate of the two was $150 -- $525 LESS THAN CLIVE STEPHENS. Clive Stephens knew I did not know what was causing the leak nor the extent of the problem. The other two plumbers said exactly what he said was the problem, but their estimates were within a few dollars of each other. Clive Stephens is unethical, and his workmanship is not high quality. I was on line looking for plumbers to get estimates for a water line from the road to the house (Westgate Park area). I had rec'd two estimates, then I found Clive thru Service Magic. He came out and gave me an estimate that was in line with or better than the others. He followed up with a phone call (the others didn't). He was wonderful, like talking to a friend. I gave him the job and I'm glad I did. Clive and Carl got here at 8:00 a.m. and worked untill after 7:00p.m. They did a great job. Clive is a great guy. I am so happy to find what I feel is a honest man to deal with. I plan to use him again and again. He treated us right. more
