bad experience 3/6/2012

I read the reviews and mine was siminlar to the guy who got an uneven haircut and tip without being given one. I'm not going to say who it was but it happened to me too, it wasn't the girl though. I don't feel like a victim like firefighter says I felt burned, maybe the other guy feels like a victim. I will just say the quality of cut isn't as good if you go to a good barber with skills and 1 who can line you up with a straight blade. I'd say give em a try but that was my last time going there. more

Great haircuts at Clipper King 2/3/2012

Just read Mr. Victim's post and I had to chime in with my two cents (not his missing dollar). I have been getting my haircut by the same girl for years. I have never had a cut from her that I was dissatisfied with. For argument's sake, lets just say I had. Wouldn't it be common sense for me explain to the barber that I thought one side was cut (sic) koo and the other side garbage. There were mirrors throughout the shop the last time I checked. Don't be a victim. I have never got my hair cut by any of the guys since I believe that they usually work by appointments or are normally very busy, especially on Saturday's. The shop seems very busy on Saturday's and I think that the girl does all the walk ins. So, if you were to walk in on Saturday without an appointment, chances are, you will get the girl. If you walk in around their closing time of 4'clock, expect to get the girl. It sounds like one of the barbers had asked the last poster if he had an appointment ""are you waitinig for somebody or someone"". It doesn't sound disrespectful - This is a barber shop and not your regular franchise shop. The choice of words may sound disrespectful however, I wouldn't put too much weight on that. What appears obvious is that he was a little upset to get the girl. I would never believe that the girl automatically took a tip. She has never done that to me. I would bet that a different scenario took place all together. I enjoying going there because it's a man's place. Straight talk with whatever is on your mind or listen in and join in with all the other conversations going on. I'll continue going there as long as I'm in the area. more

if there was a negative i'd put negative -5 1/14/2012

boo terrible quality terrible service. I walk in everyone seems busy so I don't saynothing. then after about 20 minutes the guy finishes his hair and says "" are you waitinig for somebody or someone""??? he says "" im done now im not cutting no more we close at 4"" WTF r u serious wut u think im doin sitting in your shop 4? messing around? you dont tell your customers you're doing your last cut so you cant cut mine? anyway, so the girl opts to do my hair. they don't know what a shape up is. they don't know how to cut hair for sh it. 1 side was cut koo the other side was garbage haha i had to come home and finish it myself. to top it all off. she said it's 13.00 i gave her two 10's and she gives me back 6.00 I HATE PEOPLE WHO TAKE TIPS B4 YOU GIVE IT TO THEM. i didnt say nothing i just know i don't go to sorry shady places like that no more. plus the guys can't cut for sh it i was watching. i do better at my house lol i expected to get a koo cut pffff garbage dont go there. i shoulda got my usual cut in stockton more

Best Quality!!! 12/29/2008

Be 4 Real. Clipper King boyz put it down. I come thru and get hooked up everytime. Real talk, they put quality in to there work. Real Detail. I drive 20 miles to go there and i pass hella discounts shops on the way and you get exactly what you pay for. If you drop a $20.00 on your barber and he hooks you up right then you got off cheap. that is reasonable for that confidence that your hooked up right. I'm not risking a $5.99 shop to look retarded. Quality is more important than anything else. Haircut is not just a haircut like some people may think, A haircut is the most important part of a mans appearance and a reflection of what kind of real man he is. Another point, I don't just like woman, I love em. That cut is mandatory and have it done proper is just as important. That barbershop kool, like a home away from home where we can all kick it and be real. My experience is i always have a good experience. I get what I want. Pros: They do excellent work more

The best !!! 4/27/2008

Clipper King is simply the best hands down. I read the review that some lady wrote about a bad experience. I don't know who that was but from my experience i been there since the beginning and I always get hooked up write. The shop is always busy so that should be a clue, there doing something right. Its mostly youngsters that flow through but for the most part they take care of everyone write. You can't hate on the whole shop for what one person is accused of, instead of getting mad at clipper king as a whole try another barber, they have someone for everyone. My advice is to the hater is check and see if that person is even still working there, talk to them or talk to the ones that have been around. The direct approach. Their kool like that, they always make it right if you give it a chance. For myself, I know i like it there because its the real deal. Old school, you know the same people and good work. Show some love to the clipper kings, and have a beer while your there. You might have a better day. Pros: The cuts are real good, the people were kool, parking is good, I have a good time, same people Cons: I think they could sweep up a little more more

family friendly biz... 11/25/2007

yo i just finished reading this ladies reviews to other shops it seems to me like shes a big hater...the fellows there can cut and line up...maybe she just went to the wrong person or to one of the ladies...but all and all everyone is good there...ive been to the shop shes takes her son to and hes alrite but except for the bumps i got from him after a razor fade that haven't gone away...i was treated good there and was made comfortable...recommended to all... Pros: fades are tight more

No Fade Skills, Could not line it up proper. 11/17/2007

My son is very serious about his hair. Today our regular place was swamped so my husband took our son to Clipper King. Big mistake! The barber was not trained to do a fade or ""line it up"". (They claimed to know what they were doing) When my son came home I was pi$$ed. The barber at Clipper King did not listen to what my son wanted and half A$$ed it. His hair was uneven and the line in front was all messed up. I ended up taking my son back to our regular place to get it fixed. The barber at Clipper King also cut my son behind his ear and missed patches throughout his head. I will never go back to Clipper King, or allow my husband to take him anywhere but our regular place. Don't go to Clipper King if you want a good fade and line up. Pros: The place was empty on a Saturday morning. Cons: Untrained staff, bad fade, cut my son, left patches and uneven throughout. more
