There isn't any other place like Cliff's! Fantastic meats, the place to go if you want to cook real Mexican food and believe it or not a great selection of hand picked wines. Make sure you take the time to say hello as well! more

An old fashioned butcher !! 8/10/2009

Wow, I didn't know places like this still existed. I was looking for some hard to find Lamb Shanks and amazingly they had some ! Very friendly and "homey" feeling. Cliff even says hi !! Definitely recommend. Pros: Very friendly people, great selection Cons: None more

Can't beat Cliff's! 6/7/2009

You will not find a better place for fresh meats in town. You can find everyday meats as well as speciality meats that they are happy to order for you. Cliff has been in business for a long time and loves meeting new customers. You will not beat the quality and princes. The old style meat market is a rare find and well worth the visit. more

Fantastic personal service 2/3/2009

In this day and age, it is rare to find an old fashioned butcher, but at Cliff's its still possible. They make their own sausage and have just about any cut of meat you want. If you have trouble finding something, Cliff will be able to order it for you (duck, or other unusual meats). The staff is very knowledgeable, and there are several Spanish speaking employees. I drive 40 minutes to buy my turkey from them every Thanksgiving. more

Fast and professional 9/9/2008

I met the owner of Cliff's Meat Market just a few months ago. He is simply a great man with an eye towards customer service. His store is located right across from the Carrboro Arts Center. Park in the lot behind the store, as on street parking can be a real mess! My experience was positive and he specializes in ensuring your meat order is just as you have requested it. Even better, Cliff's has reasonable prices. Overall, a great alternative to the chain grocery stores! more
