Great vet! 5/10/2012

After having a bad experience at another local vet I decided to find a new vet to take my 2 dogs to. I started out with just a nail trim for my pit bull and they were awesome with him! He's a terrible dog when it comes to getting his nails cut but they were great. And really understand when he flipped out and peed everywhere (I felt so bad but both the vet and the vet tech were so easy going about it!) I have since taken both dogs in for the yearly exams and vaccines and have seen both doctors there and like them both. They may not be up-to-date on some of their techniques (no digital x-rays, or other things I'm used to having worked in a very up-to-date hospital but it's ok) but they are still very compassionate and are willing to answer all my questions. They are also very reasonably priced. more

2.5 Star Average For a Reason 5/16/2011

The vet operating the facility now has a major ego problem. Appartently, the facility is insulted if your dog is seen by another office. The rates are substantially higher than other facilities in the area and they will charge you 35.00 for something as simple as a sterile gauze......$3.50 at Wal-Mart (hospital grade). Furthermore, be smarter than me. Do not take your beloved animal to a vet with a combined star rating of 2.5 stars. The reviews speak for themselves. Furthermore, I had an employee of the clinic advise me to board my dog at a different clinic with better facilities. Beware of this clinic and their ego more

No compassion 8/13/2010

Our story is too long to share here, but we had to surrender an animal due to finances. Surgery was going to be $1K and we just couldn't do it financially. After much thought we surrendered our pet in order to save his life. She covered the expense, and told us he would be adopted by the vet and we could remain in touch. After the surrender we weren't informed that it was policy to surrender communication rights and what we signed didn't say this either. I had even asked if my son could say good bye to his pet after it healed from surgery. No one ever said this wasn't ok UNTIL I called to see how he did from surgery. We were then told not call about him nor could we see him again. My son is heart broken, this was his kitten from Santa. We know rules are rules but after 5+ yrs of being her patient she wouldn't show any compassion to a child who had no say in this decision. If faced with a difficult decision this vet will not spare feelings over business! I was told my son will get over it and for that we will no longer use her to care for our animals. It's been 3 weeks now and my son still cries for his pet. I know the tears will lessen but there is something to say about the heart healing when you can say good bye. Go to this vet knowing business is business. more
