After Work or Late Night Are Both Great 4/15/2006

What's the best bar and restaurant in the South End? It's probably Clerys. It's good for dinner with tasty burgers and a room filled with TV screens with every major sporting event. It's also good for late night drinks and partying with a downstairs dance floor and bar that dishes out drinks quickly. Unless you like waiting in line, though, try getting there a bit early. more

Big crowd, over-priced mediocre food 4/15/2006

It's a good bar if you're going for the drinks and the company...but the food sucks. $8 for deep-fried mushrooms? The food wasn't even tasty. The service if you're eating is really slow. So don't go for the food, just the drinks. They have a dance floor downstairs and a another bar. Not bad. The dance floor's not that big, and they mostly just play mainstream hits. The crowd is also not very diverse...usually mostly white yuppies who've just gotten out of work. more

Casual Bar 3/7/2006

Clery's is good to just relax and wind down. Its not that expensive and they have good food and drinks. It is not fancy or anything but a typpical bar to spend part of a night after a busy day at. This bar attracts the younger crowd and is not really a formal place. All-in-All, its pretty good. more

20-something bliss 3/7/2006

Clery's is a great place to go for a casual night on the town. The crowd here tends to be mid-late 20-somethings with a few older 30 somethings thrown in for good measure. Some people tend to come here a bit over-dressed-- this is probably not the place to wear your favorite club get-up, but that doesn't seem to stop people from trying. The casual interior is the perfect place to lounge around and meet new people. There tends to be a lot of pick-up artists at this location, so be warned that you might here a line or two before the night is over. Pub food here is pretty standard, as well as the drink specials and prices. Service is pretty good overall. Not bad at all. more
