Clearmans North Woods Inn La Mirada

DO NOT GO HERE!!! We had never been to this restaurant and decided to give is a try the other week. The food was fairly expensive and just OK and the service was fine until we looked at our credit card! Our bill for two, with no alcohol was $80, and we gave the waitress a $16 tip. When we checked our credit card statement a couple of days later we had a charge for $1,680!! The waitress had changed the tip from $16 to $1600.00! We contacted the restaurant manager right away and he said that he would look into it and get back to us. He called us back a half an hour later and said that he would fix it in an overnight batch to our credit card. He did not apologize. The next day we checked our statement and nothing had changed. We called the manager back, and he said there was nothing he could do to fix the charge, because he did not receive the funds. He agreed that he charged us the $1,680; but that we should just call the #800 number on the back of the card, he could not help us. He never apologized for the inconvenience or anything; and was not willing to help us. We did contact the credit card company and issued a complaint and after a couple weeks they credit us back $1584. more

North Woods Inn is an interesting place to go for dinner. The floor is used as a trash can to throw your peanut shells that they give you as an appetizer, which is fun. I am not a big steak or meat lover so I never know what to get. Their salads are alright and their cheese bread is good but super greasy. This place is a fun place to go because it is so different, but the food isn't that great. more

Oh yummy, I am getting hungry just thinking of North Woods. There are so many restaurants that specialize in similar foods, but its fun to experience each one! This place has it all! Steaks, burgers, chicken, ribs, seafood, sandwiches, salads....lots of appetizers and yummy sides to your order. They give you lots of food here! Dress is casual to nice and prices are medium to higher here...around $15-$40. Fun environment...you will love this place! more
