I am a small, local business owner who made the mistake of advertising with Clear Channel Radio in Cincinnati. Unless you are a Fortune 500 company, these people do not care about your success or want you as a repeat customer. I ran a series of radio spots with them and: 1.) the phone number was wrong for the first week of the campaign, and ran that way for 3 days after I called to correct it, 2. I called 2 weeks into my campaign to change the message as guaranteed by my rep and the message was never changed despite repeated calls and appeals amde by me, 3. during the three months of the campaign, I had 3 separate sales reps and spoke with 2 (one resigned midway through) general sales managers, all of whom said they would take care of me, but didn?t. I did not get one call from the campaign, but my complaint is not about the results of the campaign. I was never promised results and realized that there were no guarantees, but I WAS promised service and a ""team"" approach to creating a campaign that would give me the best results and got nothing. I refused to pay in full for this shoddy service and Clear Channel sued me for the balance in response. I never received an apology for my experience from anyone. Once I went from ""small business"" prospect to ""small business"" customer, it was about getting as much of my money as possible and moving on. If you are a big company willing to commit to annual ads, you will be treated well. If you are a small business, they want as much money as they can squeeze from you and you will get no service. I am writting this to small business owners in Cincinnati. Do not make the same mistake as I. DO NOT ADVERTISE WITH THIS COMPANY!
