Editorial review from Citysearch 2/13/2014

Clean As A Pin has been cleaning my 4200 sq. ft. house since September 2013, and I guess it's about time I review their excellent service. Surprised there aren't any Google reviews yet! Anyhow, we've had two different ladies come out and clean our house, and the first time both were supervised (she checked before and after) by Zoe, the owner of the company. The first lady did an impeccable job, even arranging things to make them better organized in addition to cleaning until the entire house was spotless. The second lady did a fantastic job as well, but when Zoe came out to check her work she decided it wasn't clean enough, so the two of them stayed another hour and a half and touched up, leaving the place utterly spotless. She has always dealt fairly and honestly with me, and I've no doubt we will continue our relationship with this company for many years to come. Her company brings great value to the Rockwall area and I'm glad we found her! Being able to trust your housekeeper is a must, and I'm happy to say she's proven herself and her employees trustworthy. While we've had other housekeepers come and service our house in the past, I've never before encountered a cleaning company where the owner does checkups personally to make sure her clients are satisfied. Nice touch!\r more

BEWARE.DO NOT USE THIS CLEANING 6/6/2012

BEWAREâ?¦.DO NOT USE THIS CLEANING SERVICE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR VALUABLES STOLEN. My wife and I hired Zoe Miller who is the owner of â??Clean as a Pinâ?? here in Rockwall back at the beginning of the year (December of 2011 or January 2012). She seemed to be a very nice older lady who cared about her business and she was a local business person which made us seem a bit more comfortable in allowing someone else inside our home. My wife asked her if she was bonded and insured prior to being hired and Mrs. Zoe Miller stated she was and also advertised this on her business flyer and internet site. Within a couple of months of them cleaning our house, I noticed that my Texas A&M Aggie Ring was gone and that one of my wifeâ??s heirloom necklace given to her by her grandmother was also missing. Mrs. Miller and her cleaning crew had been the only other persons allowed inside our house in the areas of where these items were kept. We then called Mrs. Zoe Miller to make her aware of our findings and to check into making a claim since she had previously stated she was bonded and insured. Once we begin telling her the story, she immediately confessed to finding out that one of her employees was bringing in another person to help clean that was not employed by her and that this person had not only stolen from us, but she had also received several other complaints from other customers of items also being stolen by this person and had also lost several clients because of this. We also found out that Mrs. Miller had lied to us (verbally and by her advertised business flyer) that she was not bonded and insured as she had told us. Mrs. Zoe Miller then claimed she wanted to do the right thing and that she was a Christian and apologized for what had occurred. Being surprised by her reaction, I decided (against my better judgment) to attempt to work things out with Mrs. Miller as not to put such a strain on her business. She had, of course, fired the person that had brought the non-employee inside our house and stolen from us. At this point, I was only asking for reimbursement to replace my stolen Aggie Ring. We worked out a verbal agreement that she was going to pay about half of the cost of the ring up front and then work the rest off by providing cleaning services to us. She had guaranteed me of the only persons that would ever enter my home. The next week (April 30th) Mrs. Zoe Miller was scheduled to come to the house to pay half as agreed and to clean the house. I never saw or heard from Mrs. Zoe Miller again and she also refused to take any of my calls even though I left several messages. So in short, Mrs. Zoe Miller is not a Christian lady by any means and has no integrity or an honest bone in her body. She will seem like a very nice lady if you talk with her but stay away if you want to keep your valuables or if youâ??re expecting a respectable response from her if something happens. We are now having to take her to small claims court to get reimbursement for the stolen items. If I could give this business less than one star, I would. They don't deserve to be in business when they treat customers this way. more
