Great experience 8/24/2014

I strongly disagree with some of the other reviews... I've been a customer of Clay Subaru's for over 3 years and they have rolled out the red carpet for me with regularity. I've had great experiences with Will K & Joey A in sales John M in service is great to deal with. From the low prices and quality care to the friendly home-like atmosphere I love clay Subaru. more

Stay Away From Clay 11/6/2011

No, no do not go to Clay Subaru stay far far away. This has got to be the absolutely lowest and worst dealership on route 1 in Norwood. Yes worse than Boch. This is what happened to me and I am warning you don't even consider Clay when making a purchase. The first thing they did wrong was to sell me my car at a price that was one thousand dollars over what they were asking online. I did not know this was the case initially as I went there to see a different car saw the one I bought and liked it a lot. Second thing they did wrong was show me the wrong CarFax. I got home looked up the car on their website and volia different CarFax. Went in the next day to get my trade back and leave and they were like we will give you the listed price sir. I demanded my car back and they kept on going down on the car I purchased and wouldn't give me my Honda back. They told me that there was still a bumper to bumper factory warranty they told me that the CarFax for the car was incorrect and they would call CarFax and have it fixed. Eventually they wore me down and I kept the car at a lower price. Boy what a mistake found out from CarFax that nothing they told me was the truth. They simply made a ton on my trade so they manipulated the situation to make a boat load. Well again never ever go there you will be happier not to believe me. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I wish I could give zero stars for this dealership please don't go there and in fact if you wish to speak with me personally call me at 508 520 7995 I am on a mission to not allow anyone else to be hurt like I was. more

Terrible Service 9/19/2011

I brought my car in for service 9/19/2011 and left completely dissatisfied. My service engine light was on and I needed an oil change, I had been bringing my car there for over a year for oil changes so I thought I would have them diagnose it and more then likely service it. The total for an oxygen sensor and oil change was $ 476.03 which to tell you the truth sounded awfully high. Does it take over 2 hours to change an oxygen sensor? I don't think so. I had someone go over the charges with me before I left. I turned out of there and within a few minutes noticed that my steering wheel had been torn up on the lower left portion. I turned back and went back figuring if I'm going to pay 476.03 they should be able to fix my car without tearing up my steering wheel. I showed it to the service manager who promptly felt it and told me it felt like it wasn't "fresh"??? I honestly know for a fact that wasn't there when I dropped the car off, and truly I wouldn't have gone back to be confrontational. He than said "There's no was I'm putting a new steering wheel on" It's funny the bottom of the invoice says "If you are not completely satisfied call me" What a crock! Don't go here, and I'm certainly voting for the "right to repair" next time around. This dealership is not different than all the other bad ones!! Don't go here! And I'm for real and will tell anyone my story and show them the tears more

Excellent Service Department 3/30/2009

Good: A little background. I own a 2007 Subaru Legacy, purchased new in January 2007. My comments will be primarily regarding service [arguably, lack thereof - meaning no unexpected breakdowns :-) ]. Reception area (canopy into which one drives his/her vehicle) and waiting room are spit polish clean. Service staff are very friendly and will not try to "pull one over" on you. A couple of warranty-related ($0 out-of-my-pocket) items, i.e., replacement wiper blades and brake pads, were recommended and accepted. Bad: The sales department, although professional, gave me a pathetically low amount for my trade in (1999 Volkswagen Passat, high miles but excellent condition. The reason I finally got rid of the car was because I was spending literally $100s per month, always dealer service, to keep the car running).. Improvements: None. Other: With respect to Clay Subaru, much of the credit has to do with Subaru's excellent build quality and reputation for reliability and durability, on par with Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura. My 2007 Legacy, now with 33k mi, has had no "surprise" repairs (a battery went on my remote lock, but that was repaired straight away and doesn't constitute a "defect). Contrast this to two Volkswagens, with a Saab in between. The German/Swedish cars are a blast to drive but astronomical to repair.. more
