Clay Oven

My husband and I have gone to Clay Oven about 6 times and with the exception of the time I got take-away (food took a while after I got there, and didn't travel that well) it was always great, and service was friendly and prompt. In fact, we showed up at the very end of the lunch buffet one day, and they insisted that they make us fresh food because it was just not going to be that good after being out that long. It was still fast and they made us custom plates. I also love the rice pudding (very thin and cardamom-y). The other reviewer must have gone on a bad day, because I've had terrible Indian food and this isn't it. Definitely worth a shot if you're in the mood. I have a feeling it doesn't get visited often now that Blockbuster is gone, but it should. more

What a terrible experience! I tried this restaurant for lunch after I saw it and purchased a coupon from restaurant-com. The service was horrific! We had to ask for a menu that took the waiter over 5 minutes to bring to the table. We ordered drinks that took even longer... After reviewing the menu, we decided to have the buffet. The food overall was just as horrific, unfortunately the highlight was the naan. We asked two different waiters for an extra napkins and never did get any. When we paid, we presented the ""restaurant"" coupon and the waiter brought back the coupon and said it was for dinner only. When I pointed out the coupon said ""dine-in only"" he came back to the table and said it was not valid for the buffet. After an argument about not specifying anything on the coupon about not including the buffet on the coupon, we paid and left...never to return again. Even if they honored the coupon, we still would not have returned to this restaurant. Avoid the restaurant at all cost! more
