Clay Fusion

Clay Fusion is absolutely wonderful, I give it 5 stars! I take my 6 year old and 10 year old almost every week and they love it, the service is awesome, the owner is extremely nice and helpful. The room is cheery and kids of any age can pick and do one of the many pieces avialable with tons of color choices. more

I have loved this place for over 5 years. It's a great place to visit alone, with the kids, or with a group of friends for a girls night out. Since I love it so much I decided to have my daughters 9th birthday party there and it was AWESOME!! Shelly was kind enough to stay after hours to accommodate my scheduling difficulties and Chandler was so great with the kids. It made my daughter's birthday party stress free for me! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a wonderful party!! Thanks Shelly and Chandler...you guys are the BOMB!!! more

I attended Clay Fusion with my 7 yr old daughter for a friend's birthday party. While I found the supporting staff pleasant and helpful, the owner was extremely harsh and brash. She came in during the party to criticize the children on painting the eyes of their ceramic animals. At that point, she announced that all the parents should be out of the room to enable the children to paint their animals themselves. I tried to lighten the dark tone she had and joke around with her to which she replied parents could paint their own animals at a 10% discount in the front of the store. After a few uncomfortable moments, she then spoke harshly to a dad that was helping his son shouting across the room, "" I was talking to you too dad"". The parents of the birthday girl were upset by her comments as well as several other parents present. My daughter looked terrified to ask me for any more help on her animal. I work with children for a living and realize the dynamics between children and their parents. I have never seen someone with so little concern for children's feelings. I did not want to upset the party or my daughter so opted to call the owner after the party. She offered an insincere apology but continued to defend her brash behavior. I would strongly discourage anyone from going to Clay Fusion. more

To try something different a few moms and our teen daughters went to Works of Clay. We had a great time! Most everyone painted a ceramic piece, but I tried out the mosiacs and they have beads also. \r \r The atmosphere really encouraged relaxing and we all laughed and talked for 2 hours! The girls were making plans to make their own gifts there for Christmas this year... for us I hope!!\r \r I loved it and ordered a personalized Snowman that can be lit from the inside. When I go to paint that, we are going to make a family trip I want hand painted tree ornaments this year for family! Took the kids to Works of Clay for a family activity. The whole family had a great time!! Even I joined in and painted a mug for myself! The studio is spacious and bright. They had a huge selection!! Unlike some other studios, they had lots of colors & supplies to choose from. You can even pick a clipart design from the computer and trace-it on. Afterwards we hung out in The Factory, had some icecream. My daughter has decided this is where her Birthday party will be (they have a private room). We will be back!! Some friends & I went to Works of Clay for a ""Girls Night Out"" & had a great time. We brought in dinner from the deli across the street, relaxed & painted the night away! This pottery studio is a lot roomier than others in the area, with a better selection & a friendly staff! Pros: Good Selection, Fairly Priced, Nice Atmosphere more
