i always enjoy shopping at claudios, its the best authentic italian gourment shop. the personal touch the tasting and the best fresh mozzerella in the world. as far as i am concerned i wouldn't shop anywhere else. the staff is excellent, i remember shopping there as a child; and claudio sr, and claudio jr. were so very wondeerful. sal ,david and the tall girl lanea are the best. every product is imported from italy. i suggest everyone shop and visit claudios, believe me, you will never shop anywhere else. i give it more than 5 stars, wow. OMG . more

Longtime customers 7/4/2010

We have patronized many of the ninth street stores for more than 35 years. Claudio's remains the one store we never miss visiting. The selection is great, tastes are good, staff friendly. They always have good suggestions to consider, too. I occasionally stop in their neighbor Di Bruno's they are good but have never caught me like Claudio's. I guess the competition reflects the American way. I prefer Claudio's and someone else DiBruno's. I like choices! I also order gifts through Claudio's. The service is very good, accurate and fast even during holiday seasons. Try them! Pros: great selection, mozzarella made daily Cons: crowded weekends more

The real deal 1/5/2010

Claudio's outshines their competition with quality, service and authenticity. No need to shop anywhere else. Even the price point. more

Loving it for years... 9/24/2008

My parents have been going to Caludio's for years...and since my husband and I moved to California, they have sent us cheese and proscuttio regularly! You can not get the kind of service and hospitality here that you get at Claudio's....I would go there as a child, a teen and a young adult, with my parents, and the workers and young Claudio himself were ALWAYS a pleasure to be around, so helpful and amazingly hospitable...anytime we come back across the US, Claudio's is our first stop! more

Worst customer service anywhere at the Italian Market 4/20/2008

I have shopped on 9th street my entire life. Claudio's is where we usually go for our oil and vinegar. I was just there Saturday and I have never been treated so RUDEly by two of the guys that were supposed to be waiting on people. My sister and I had to ASK for a sample of the cheese the woman next to us was buying and the man told us NO, that we had to wait until it was our turn. We promptly left and went to DeBruno Bros and couple of doors down and could not be more happy with the service. We spent $180 there. Your bad luck your rude people at Claudios. more

hi all. Pros: can be good Cons: but has been below standard for quality and customer service more

Claudios-the best cheese/Italian speciality store around 12/10/2006

Claudios is a great place regardless if you are a professional chef or know nothing about Italian food. The staff are patient and will offer you many things to try without you even asking. They are knowledgeable and have an incredible selection of cheeses, imported foods, italian cold cuts and some prepared food (check out their prepared food place next door). Unlike their overpriced competitor a few blocks down, Claudios is easy to look around in and you're never rushed, not to mention they are pretty reasonably priced. The only place I'll go. more

SCAMORZA NEEDS IMPROVEMENT, AUTHENTIC SOPPRESSATA 12/3/2005

This store has many fine products but the mozzarella and scamorza are not too good. The mozzarella has good texture but something is missing with the flavor. Should be more creamy tasting. As far as the scamorza goes it is not even close to the real thing it is dry and tough like rubber. There is much far superior product of this nature available in the North Jersey metro New York area & other places. They opened a very nice mozzarella shop next to the main store but they need some help with the quality of cheese production. I MUST ADD THE HOMEMADE PEPPERONI IS THE BEST! AUTHENTIC HOT & SWEET SOPPRESSATA & DRY SAUSAGE. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Good Soppressata, Dry Sausage, Pepperoni, Olives & Cheese more
