This is the one on Prospect Ave. I was offered a "free car wash" if I purchased a $50 wax job. After they washed the car, they drove it over for the waxing. Two guys motioned me over, pointed to a blob of something on the trunk lid (which was not there before the car wash) and told me (twice) in rapid English with a heavy accent, that my car needed special attention - a $100 clay cleaning to remove "all the pitch and tree sap." I did not understand him very well and I said no, I had changed my mind, and I'll just get the carwash. I went over to the cashier to get my money back and pay for a wash only. She called the mgr. He said I had misunderstood, that they'd already started waxing my car. He was very insistent that they should wax the car and it would take a few minutes more. After the wax, I got in the car and drove home. When I got home I saw the unknown blob on the trunk lid was gone, but now there were 5 splats of what looked like bird droppings all over the car. It's the car-wash equivalent of someone spitting in your food when you return it to the kitchen. There were NO bird droppings on the car when I took it to the car wash, and certainly should have been none after going through the car wash. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS. The car wash is fine, but no special services.
