Cakes at Classic bakery are 'OK' not so exceptional, definitely pricey but service is arrogant and rude. i don't recommend this bakery to anyone.

This bakery deserves to be in a better location. Every single item they sell shows careful attention to detail, and their flavors are to die for. I tried the custard napoleon, coconut maccaroons dipped in chocolate, and the strawberry "mon amour." Everything is so moist and tastes like it was made fresh. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a top notch bakery in the DC area. more

Best cakes in DC period! 1/22/2009

I was absolutely amazed when I first went to Classic Bakery to get an anniversary cake for my sister and her husband. I was breath-taken with the selection of wonderful cakes that helped me custom design my own. Classic bakery is truly traditional baking meets art. A+++ more

The best cake you have ever tasted! 8/13/2005

Classic bakery is by far the best bakery in the area. They have an excellent light fruity cake (I believe it is Middle Eastern style) that is their signature. They make large cakes to order but also have a number available ready made. They also have individual serving size bakery treats, perfect for taking to a small gathering where an entire cake may not be appropriate. The prices are normal for a specialty bakery - higher than a grocery store but sooo much better tasting. Check it out next time an occasion calls for cake! more
