Highly recommend for child's birthday party 2/1/2007

Although I do agree with some that this isn't the best place to go just for a family outing, I will say that I had my son's fifth birthday here and it was wonderful. We had nineteen children attend and the farm provided us with a chaperone, picnic tables, petting zoo, hayride, pony ride, and a pumpkin for each of the children to take home. (October party) We served cupcakes and ice cream cups and some parents took the time to call me the following week to commend what a great party it was. Extremely reasonably priced it was around $10 a child which was totally worth every penny. All we did was show up & the farm took care of the rest !! more

Leaves much to be desired. 4/16/2006

We had to stand in line for about 40 minutes to get in, even though there were only a dozen or so families in front of us. The only registers at which to pay were in a store where people were buying other stuff at the same time there were people trying to get into the farm. The even closed one of the registers while we were still in line. Inside, we found that the animals were all behind fences that you could not enter, and the only way to pet them was to try to reach through if they were standing close enough. We were also upset that the feed dispensers cost extra money. more

Great departure for city kids 8/9/2005

Clarks Elioak Farm is a bit of a drive from the city, but worth the trip. Kids of all ages can enjoy an entire day at Clarks without running out of things to do. There is a petting area with more than the average goats - often they have baby chicks and ducklings as well. They have tractor-pulled wagon rides around the property that are really fun and scenic. There is a covered pavillion with picnic tables if you bring food or buy snacks at the little, reasonably-priced shop. There is a huge hay maze at harvest time. Plenty of parking, reasonable prices. more

Great Petting Farm 8/2/2005

This is a great place to take kids for hours of fun and entertainment for a minimal amount of money. There are animals that you can pet, although they have limited the amount of petting recently due to the incidents in FL where kids got sick for not washing their hands after feeding the pets. Nonetheless it's still a great place to spend an afternoon. After petting the goats, chickens, horses, ponies, donkey's, pigs, emu, etc... you can take a pony ride. Then you can take a tractor ride through the farm. There is also a picnic area where you can bring your own lunch and eat while the kids play with the ride on toys, farm sets, wagons, and playhouses.
