For guys with short hair 11/23/2010

I've been getting my hair cut by Eusebio for 18 years, first when he was at Doyle Wilson, then privately, and for the last decade or so, at CLARK NOVA. That says a lot. He is meticulous and a pro. I'm a guy who keeps his hair short. Whereas most guys would just go to Shorty's and get buzzed, which has its virtues, I prefer to have my hair cut by Eusebio because the cut stays looking perfect as it grows in, for weeks and weeks. This is an exaggeration, but he pretty much cuts each here individually. Instead of it taking 15 minutes, it takes an hour or more (including wash) so you have to want what you get in order to set aside that amount of time. I've never had a bad cut by him. At Clark Nova, they rinse your hair out when you're done so that you don't leave with little hairs everywhere. It's totally worth it. And Eusebio is a great guy, really down-to-earth, no attitude, no pretense. He's the real deal. more

Fabulous!! Experts in color and cutting, they do incredible work.Great atmosphere, no attitude. Clark Nova Highly recommend The staff at Clark Nova is welcoming and the ambiance is fun with an up-beat vibe. I was very impressed with Jen's work, she is skilled and pays attention to what your needs are. I was in dire need of something new done with my hair that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg, which this salon did not. It was very reasonable. Jen always runs monthly specials. This is the first time in years that I'm getting comments and compliments on my color and cut. To top it off, she's friendly, personable, and fun to talk with.Thanks for the new look. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! 11/27/2009

Love this salon. Great service. Great stylists. High quality for reasonable price! It's a small store with nice ambiance. I always ask for Jen! She is always fun to talk to and she knows exactly what I want when it comes to cut, color and style. I was going to random salons for awhile and they never got the color right or damage my hair. But that all changed when I found Jen. She was able to correct my color and repair the damage that was done and my hair went from dry to silky shine in no time. Price is great for the work she does for me. Highly recommend coming here. I always get complimented on my hair ever since I started coming here. Pros: service, quality, price more

Taylor is Terrific 11/1/2009

Taylor has been cutting and coloring my hair for the last couple of years and I have LOTS of it! She is an extremely talented stylist and just really knows her stuff. She is flexible and sweet and has great recommendations. While in LA, she's the one to see. Pros: Well priced and flexible more

I am so happy to have stumbled across Clark Nova Salon. It was a great experience with professional customer service. This beautifully designed, salon will leave you just wanting more. The stylists are fun and works well with others to find your best personal wants and needs. By far the best place in town to get your hair done!!! Jen is the stylist to see....I love my haircut!! TAYLOR cuts amazing hair 9/24/2009

Taylor was recommended to me by a director friend who always has great haircuts. Her hair is thick and straight and it was always complimented. Being a man, I wasn.t sure if it would be the same for me. I went to Taylor for the first time about 2 months ago and after 2 haircuts I.ll never go anywhere again. The cut seems to get better even weeks after. After years of trying to find someone to cut this thick , curly hair it is quite a relief. The salon is cool too. I've been going to Clark Nova for a couple of years. Besides the fact that it's around the corner from me, the people are friendly and it has a good vibe. But the main reason I go is because of my amazing stylist, Arturo. I've followed him from salon to salon around this neighborhood and am so excited that he's stayed at Clark Nova. If you want honest feedback on what to do with your hair, he'll give it to you. I always get compliments on my haircut, and have referred lots of friends. He's the best! more

Best stylist in LA 9/12/2009

I have been going to Clark Nova for a few years now. I followed LA's best hairstylist - the spicy Salvadoran, Arturo. He's worked at a number of WeHo salons and Clark Nova is by far the best. The staff is really friendly and not at all pretentious. The rates are reasonable and the place itself is funky and cute. Plus they always have interesting art on the walls and good music playing. I have been getting my hair cut by Arturo at Clark Nova since 2007 and continue to do so even though I now live over 30 minutes away. The reason: ever since Arturo has been cutting my hair, it looks great not only when I leave the salon but in the months after as well. I believe he is a natural when it comes to understanding your personality and matching your hair style. Beyond that I LOVE the eclectic staff and atmosphere a Clark Nova. Great haircuts, great location 9/9/2009

Clark Nova is a really cute little salon with a friendly, upbeat staff. I actually came here because of Jen, who has cut and colored my hair three times and consistently done a great making it look cute and versatile for work or going out at night. She really takes her time with you to make sure you get just what you want, but she'll also make her own suggestions if she knows something won't look good on you or if there's a better option. The location is perfect too, because right after visiting the salon I went right around the corner to The Grove for a dinner date! Jen gave me the best haircut I've had in a long time at a good price. It was $70 and she really took her time - over an hour. Next time I'm going to ask her for a longer shampoo though because that's my favorite part. Jen and the rest of the beauticians were nice. I'll go again. The best in LA! 9/2/2009

Everytime I walk out of Clark Nova, I feel great! I have never been disappointed in a cut or color. I've had both Mick and Eusebio do my hair and they are both geniuses. My hair is not easy to work with, but they spend the time to help you pick a style that is right for you and your hair type. If you want to feel like a million bucks without spending a million bucks...definitely give Clark Nova a call. You'll never want to go anywhere else. Don't wate your time going anywhere else, honestly 9/2/2009

As someone that spends considerable time in front of a camera, I need to look as good as possible. I had been to other ""high end"" salons in the area, but none of them took the time to find out what I wanted and it showed in the end product. A friend suggested Clark Nova so I decided to give it a try. From the minute I walked in I was treated like a valued client and my stylist, Mick, took the time to ask me what I was looking for and he listened. He delivered with amzing precision. I felt comfortable with him from the outset because he didn't do the ""forced"" conversation thing that you usually get from a stylist (how about that weather? blah blah). A True Gem for Los Angeles 9/2/2009

I've been going to Clark Nova to have Mick cut my hair for years and years. Always appreciate genius and mastery and Mick's got them in spades. I'm always rewarded with a brilliant cut and an experience to which I look forward. The Salon is located on a very charming walking street in L.A. too (3rd Street) and it's always nice to stop and get a little bite to eat or do a little shopping before or afterward, too. Blonde Again 8/28/2009

I went to this salon because since I have moved to LA I have not been able to find someone that can make my hair the blonde I want it to be. So I took a chance on Clark Nova and I love it! It is finally the blonde color I have been looking for. I went to Tamara and she is a perfectionist. Such a great place and I have already had numerous friends ask me for her information because they love my hair so much. more

Mick is a former Vidal Sassoon instructor and knows his stuff. Watching Eusebio work is amazing...he has the lightest touch...he moves like subtle ballet when when he cuts hair.
