If you are not dead when you arrive you soon will be. It was an awful experience. Please NEVER go to this place from hell. more

Neglect Possibly Malpractice 2/9/2010

I haven't been content with Clark Memorial Hospital since my surgery 01/23/2009. I'm not sure if I was over-medicated but what I do know is that I was given too much morphine.\r \r I was given my regular daily med's and my blood pressure elevated that caused me to suffer a stroke. Since ten I have returned via emergency room and was told there's nothing wrong with me.\r \r If there's nothing wrong with me, why am I taking eighteen differant medications. As I recall I was transferred to an upstairs room where I was neglected by the staff and was tourmented the entire night. Know one really has talked about this room and the one's that do know, doesn't say anything except I do recall hearing a member of the female staff being told to shut-up and not to say anything or they would regret otherwise. more

CLARK MEMORIAL HOSPITAL is cold and uncaring. 7/24/2009

Their billing is awful!!! I have a bill there and they are unwilling to let me make payments on this large bill. I have been turned over to collections because I don't have 300 dollars a month. They said they weren't refusing my payment but they were refusing what I was paying. more

Somewhat satisfactory hospital 11/23/2005

Clark Memorial Hospital is a nice hospital, though their emergency room could use improvements. If you go to the emergency room, be prepared to wait a while before you are called into the exam room. Otherwise, the hospital is a typical hospital. It seems they have enough staff for the amount of patients. The nurses are hospitable yet hurried. The rooms are kept sanitary, with clean linens on the beds. The food is tolerable. The doctors are well qualified, as well as the nurses. You are treated with respect and given good service. PROS: Hospitable staff, Knowledgeable Doctors CONS: Emergency Room needs Improvements more

My grandfather was killed from negligence... 7/27/2005

I do not care for this hospital at all. I have had several family members stay here and none of them have ever been treated right in my opinion. The staff is cold and uncaring and the hospital does not seem to care at all for the elderly. My grandfather died from negligence many years ago here. I have nothing good to say about this hospital. more

Lack Of Care 4/26/2005

My husband went the ER with severe chest pain and a bad cough in March of 05'. The staff was very unprofessional and showed no consideration for him being a sick patient. I just thought to myself well the doctor will be thorough at least... Well that was what I thought. He came in and stuck a stethescope on his back and had him breathe in and was like.. ohh you have just some bronchitis. He didnt order a chest x ray or anything!! He just gave him some cough syrup and zpack. well come to find out after a few days he got worse. I calle dthe hospital back and demanded that they recheck him with blood work and a chest xray. Well, they did and found out it was Pneumonia. They did wave the bill and was courteous but this could have costed him his life. This was due to a bunch of nurses and doctors being in a HURRY. more
