a beautiful place 3/31/2006

My daughter saw her first musical at Clarence Brown. 'The Secret Garden'. It was lovely, and surprising how well put together it was. Very talented actors and actresses. The music was just beautiful. Very intimate theatre, makes you want to go back again and again. Ticket prices could be better, but to be honest, I dont' have alot of experience in the ticket price area. more

Great theatre! 12/2/2005

The Clarence Brown Theatre, operated by the Department of Theatre at the University of Tennessee, is a wonderful way to experience live theater. They produce 5-6 plays a year, and offer a diverse range of plays. The theater itself is not overly large therefore lending a more intimate feel to the peformances. Tickets are reasonably priced and season tickets are available. This is a great way to experience live theater for yourself or get someone you know interested in it. more

The Clarence Brown Theatre is a professional theatre of the likes of much bigger cities. The shows are always magnificent and the acting superb. This year they are doing some really great shows - Arsenic and Old Lace, Big River, Trojan Women, to name a few. I don't think you'll be disappointed by going to the CBT for a night on the town. more
