Clairmont Reserve

if you are a 20-something year old who doesn't care about doing anything but listening to your neighbors terrible European trance music through the paper thin walls. And if you are into that then you will also love filling your lungs with the dust infused air that circulates through your vents. Top all that off with the fact that your going to have to carry all that furniture up rickety flights of stairs. That's right folks, no elevators, a little discriminatory to people with terrible knees and my grandma. Also, the fitness center is where gym towels go to die and then run away. Don't let the sales people fool you. Half the equipment doesn't work and whoever uses the weight machines clearly drops the weights and doesn't posses upper body strength. I mean come on man, who drops weights? There are nicer and cheaper places in Atlanta, look around Briarcliff Road. more

After four years at Emory, I can say Clairmont Reserve is the best off-campus option for students. It's situated right across the street from Emory's Clairmont Campus, so if you don't have a car or don't want to pay for an Emory parking permit, walking over to the shuttle is quick and easy. They also have one bedroom floor plans with a den which are great for two students to share. The den can easily be used as a second bedroom and splitting the rent between two students makes it very affordable. The apartments themselves have been updated nicely inside with carpet, paint, etc. and the kitchens have black appliances and dark wood cabinets. There is also a gorgeous pool, nice workout facilities and a club house with a DVD library. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with any questions or concerns. more
