Over 15 years ago, this place took me in, helped me to get on my feet. It was a struggle just to survive on the streets, so when I was able to join the program, it was a relief. I always wondered why some people got in while others didn't. Some of those people weren't ready to change their life. Some were still on illegal substances or thieves. I saw many people that should of been before me, but then out in the yard the next day, come to find out, they were in gail for stealing or illegal sustances. Though it is really hard to say who is more open to change their life, it must be done, so some people can get the help they need and start a new life. Some nights I saw so many people sleeping in the cold, because the shelter didn't have any more room.
