Awesome place to shop for music 9/30/2005

The people of city lights are very helpful. They've personally helped me with many items, and even let me listen to them in the store without me asking first. They do have a lot of used items, even though they aren't dirt cheap. They also have a good number of $1-$3 discs if you like some of the older or lesser known bands... Finally, if you like records, this is one of the few places around here that you can find some... more

A decent college record store 8/11/2005

You will find a good selection of titles here. The employees know their music pretty well. For a college town record store it isn't fantastic, but it does serve a need in PSU. The used CD wall has some decent titles, and there are probably as many as 500-1000 titles to choose from. There is one small listening station at the front which stays relatively current with new releases, and has a nice indie selection. Prices here are fair. more

Good place 6/28/2005

It's lucky for us that state college has city lights right near campus. It's a store that keeps up well with current music and also boasts older selections. You can find a good amount of used cds and even a nice selection of bargain items costing under $3. The owner of the store is a friendly person that has helped me in many ways, sampled music for me, suggested many items, even bringing records from his home and contacting his importers for specific items. I highly recommend it. more
