City Cafe

City Cafe is one of the few things no one goes without, even college students. Everyone and his grandma goes to City Cafe. They are always busy, and sometimes you have to wait a long time. But believe me, it's worth it. They have breakfast as well as lunch. I love their breakfast. I love their lunch. I love it all. Their lunch plates vary day by day, but you still get to pick what you want. It is really good. I recommend this place at five stars. more

If you live in the Tuscaloosa/Northport area, or go to UA, and have never been to City....well, let's just say you haven't really lived! City is one of those places you just have to go to. You'll find that you'll go there again and again, too--it's that good! It gets very busy at lunchtime, though, so either go early or be prepared for a wait. They have breakfast, and also plate lunches that vary by day. My favorite was the chicken fried steak and fried green tomatoes. Those maters were awesome! The sweet tea is super sweet and yummy. The waitresses are all really nice, and always manage to get your order filled quickly and your drinks refilled, even when they are super busy. City is one of the places I miss most about T-town. more

I love the City Cafe. It has the best biscuits for breakfast, my favorite is sausage and gravy. They keep your glass full of drink and are always smiling. If you go there more than twice they know you by name. If you live in this town or anywhere nearby you must go eat here, I command it. Of course they have lunch and dinner as well but the breakfast rules all. more

Some of the best food in town The price is right and the food is great. The only problem is it gets too busy at lunch time, but the line does move quickly. They have a little different menu everyday so you can always have something different. I really like their cream corn and potatoes. A lot of people are so full after eating their meal they don't have room for dessert but it is great i say get it sometime you will not be sorry. more

This is by far the best restaurant in Tuscaloosa County. A lot of people dont even know about it. It is a "meat and three" as some people call it. Or you can get all vegetables. They also have an awesome breakfast. If you go right at noon you should be prepared to wait for at least ten minutes for a table. But it is well worth the wait. One person can usually eat lunch for under $6 and breakfast for under $4. more

City Cafe has excellent food for excellent prices! If you are a sweet tea lover, this is the place. All the food is just like home and the service is good too! more
