I have only been to this store once and it was an unpleasant experience. I was trying to exchange an item purchased at another CC store and as I talked with the reps, I caught them in several lies regarding the exchange policy. First they said that if they could not in the store establish the defect I found with the item that they could not take it back, but the return policy does not state that. Second, they wouldn't even check one of the defects I pointed out. They said, from 6 feet away, nothing is wrong with it, but the defect required closer observation. Third, they said that when they tested the item (a camera) they took a test shot, but the camera had recorded no image. Last, they said that if I returned it and it was working fine, they would lose money by having to sell the item as an open box, but I saw on the shelf an identical item where the factory seal had been broken (making it an open box) but they had just put a new CC orange sticker on the joint saying that if the sticker was cut a restocking fee would apply. Hmmm, so they can charge a restocking fee to the customer and then sell opened merchandise as new. Clever. \r
I won't go back to this store either to return merchandise or to buy since they obviously have an extremely liberal definition of new-in-box. \r
""Local"" electronics and computer stores are disappearing and this is why. What is the point of going to a noisy warehouse atmosphere to look at beat-up and, in the case of cameras, typically unpowered and unmemoried (probably not a word) examples. You don't get an accurate impression and then when you try to return it due to either defect or preference, you are stuck with a fight or a fee. Great choice.\r
Why not just shop online. It's cheaper and easier.
