What you see is what you get when you rent at the Cinnabar and yet people act so surprised once they move in, your given a tour you pick your unit which is clean and ready to move into. You READ & Sign a lease explaining the guidelines of the Cinnabar community and yet what I don't understand is why tenants choose to ignore their lease. Yes, there have been many changes in office management but now for the better of the complex, there have been many positive changes around the grounds to improve the landscape and clean up the areas in need. Trees trimmed, flowers planted, painting and repairs to outside areas. If the tenants of the Cinnabar would step up and take responsibity in keeping the grounds/parking areas liter free/slow down and watch for kids playing.be considerate of others and follow the simple rules as requested. this would enhance the quality of the Cinnabar even more so. I find the Cinnabar a great place to live and find management to be very helpful and responsive when there is a problem or help is needed. If you have nothing good to say then one should not say anything, if people are so unhappy then move out. If you don't want to pay a late rent fee then pay your rent on time this in nothing new and has been in the lease for as long as I have lived here. Be considerate of your neighbors, close your windows if your going to play your tv's/music loudly or coming home at 2:00 in the morning and waking people up. Some of us work for a living and it is very disruptive. The Cinnabar really is a nice place to live with a great office staff. more

Management is aggresively anti-pet and anti-tenant 6/23/2008

I have lived in this apartment complex for the better part of a decade. I have seen managers come and go and have been able to deal with all of them until now. The newest manager, richard, apparently hates animals and flowers. He has been harassing long term residents, conducts routine inspection tours of your patio and apartment without any warning and has told people keep your plants off the porch. Pros: Convenient location Cons: management, management, management more

Change in Managers leaves a state of dissaray 10/26/2007

So seriously, when I moved in I loved this place. The manager at the time, Louella, was FANTASTIC! She gave us lots of attention, even after we moved in. Unforutnately she did not stay around long. The owner got rid of the professional management company she worked for (Vasona Management) and we've had a string of managers since then. I've been there 13 months and we've had FIVE managers. Pros: It's cheap. Cons: Management is just as cheap as the rent and will hound you for additional fees. more

Nice interim home 4/15/2006

They allow cats, no dogs. You can have a grill, ""but just don't light the place on fire"" the manager said. Each unit gets one covered spot, plus there are first come-first serve open slots throughout the complex. But parking on the street for friends or another car is impossible. Seriously don't get home after 10 pm if you don't want to park about a half mile away and walk home. It is right near lightrail and caltrain at Tamien station, and a 5 minute car ride to Willow Glen. Close to SJSU and Downtown too! The rooms are average size, but the kitchen has lots of counter space. The problems are that the management is really bad and changes every five minutes. Each time it changes, different people try to do different things, like cutting down our beautiful vines. We have lived here for two years, and I have to say that the people moving in are getting worse and worse. Big problem: there is NO a/c! Be prepared to sweat or share the pool with 20 of your closest teenage friends. There is nowhere for your kids to play, the closest park is about a half mile away and often filled with hoods. I don't think I would recommend this place to my friends, unless price is the most important thing to them. Pros: location, free satellite, cats allowed Cons: no a/c, turn lane, parking, management more

BEWARE!!! 4/1/2006

Their demo rooms are OK but what they have to offer you will have a TOTALLY different floor plan! The two rooms they have set up to demo are completely different from most of their actual rentals. Their staff will turn on you the second you seem uninterested. No pool, no grills allowed, cats only-no dogs, no Comcast-only dish, one parking space, sinks have NO counter space. This place looks like a hotel, not a home! Pros: Location, affordable income Cons: layout, parking, staff more
