My wife and I wen't to the 12:30 Sat matinee show and paid $24, for two tickets. I guess this is OK, but should have been lower for a matinee show. By the end of the show, I had o...

Terrible Experience 2/6/2010

Bought Reserved Tickets online: $34 for "Avatar". Arrived 40 minutes early and was told that Cinetopia could not get us seats together. Found out the showing had been sold out for over an hour! Why sell " Reserved Seats" at a higher price when there is no guarantee? My date and I left, went to a lesser Theatre and saw the movie. I will never come back to Cinetopia again. more

This place was terrible. 11/2/2007

Don't waste your time here. They care nothing for your customer satisfaction once they have your $12. My girlfriend, sister and I all went to go see a movie tonight, and once we were in the theater we saw that there were no seats for us to sit together. As we usually do when we come to this unfortunate situation, we went to get our money back and head somewhere else. The manager and employees laughed at us, called us liars, and refused to give us our money back stating that it was "against policy." They said they could only give re-admit passes, and that there obligation was to only provide tickets with seats, not make us happy. Thats an EXACT quote of there manager Tristan that was on duty. This place is a waste of time and energy and will leave you feeling pissed to high hell if even one thing unpleasant about your evening and you ask them to fix it. more

A First Class Movie Experience! 1/2/2007

I have been excited to try out the new “high class” movie theater in Vancouver, Washington called Cinetopia. When my husband got a gift certificate to Cinetopia from his sister for his birthday, I knew our time had come. Cinetopia is a luxury, 8 screen movie theater and entertainment complex. All the theaters have extra wide, recliners with extra leg room and stadium viewing. However, the 3 “Living Room” theaters go a step further by placing each row 5 feet above the one in front of it, for optimum obstruction-free viewing. There are also foot rests in the “Living Room” Theater, a pillow pit down on the floor, live music on the weekends, and restaurant service up through the previews. Since alcohol is served in the Living Room Theaters, patrons must be 21 or over. Cinetopia has a wonderful restaurant right in the theater with a menu designed by a four-star chef. If you are not able to get into a Living Room Theater and eat your meal right in the theater, just grab a table at the restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal. Prices for entrees range from $13-$18 each. Cinetopia also has an art gallery featuring Northwest artists, as well as international artists. Don’t worry: just because Cinetopia has taken movie viewing to a new level doesn’t mean they don’t have good old movie popcorn, drinks and snacks. The snack bar is fully loaded with everything you’d expect at the same inflated movie theater prices. This movie going experience was totally unique and very fun. Prices for tickets are $9.75 for the grand theaters and $13.75 for Living Room theaters. Matinee prices are $7.75 for the grand theaters and $10 for the Living Room theaters. more

The Big Screen comes to the 'Couve 8/4/2006

I love that Vancouver finally has "a claim to fame!" This is probably the best thing to come to the 'couve for a long time! Cinetopia is a wonderful experience. I've only been in the "grand auditoriums" (after 4:30pm only adults 21 and older are allowed in the living room theaters, where dinners/alcohol are served), but they are plenty spacious... reclining leather seats, extra leg-room etc! In addition to the more pleasant theater rooms, the concessions are much better also, While you can order dinner/drinks in the restaurant, you can also purchase popcorn, with your choice of flavored butters, slices of cheesecake, or even espresso drinks. It's definitely worth spending the extra few dollars (although the grand theaters are about the same as Regal Cinemas) for some added luxuries. A TIP: look for the "Saver CD's" that come in the mail monthly. I've oftentimes tossed these without looking at them. OOPS! They almost always have coupons for cinetopia: 2 tickets at $6.00 with a free popcorn! Such a deal! more

Date night gets a makeover! 5/5/2006

Cinetopia in "The Couv" (Vancouver, WA) is by far the best place to see a movie. Try to get in the living room where you have waiters serve you dinner from the resturant, drinks from the bar or dessert. Even the popcorn is special with a variety of goodies to mix in with it, including my favorite herbs of provence. The seats are luxurious, much better than even sitting on the couch at home. Now, you can go to dinner and a movie in one place and have a fantastic evening without your feet sticking to the floor. more

What a Great Concept! 4/4/2006

Hubby and I went to Cinetopia last weekend for our date night, and I thought it was great! They have Living Room Theaters, with couches and waiters to take orders if you want to have dinner there as well. It was nice to watch a movie on the Big Big Screen, but yet feeling like you are at home cuddling on the couch. Awesome! It is a bit more then you would pay in a regular theater, but you get what you pay for. more

INCREDIBLE! 12/20/2005

I will never go back to a regular cinema again. Why would you, when you can have comfy leather seats, dinner and a movie for just a couple of dollars more then you would pay at a regular cinema. The sound was incredible, and the HD really made Narnia that much better of a movie. What a brilliant idea. more

Latest Movie/Restaurant Combo 12/13/2005

If you enjoy lounging around your living room watching a movie while eating some good food, this latest state of the art theatre should appeal to you. The sound system is fantastic. Shows are a bit more pricey than local theaters and concessions are also pricier, but for the comfort and luxurious feel and pretty fair food that's sold there, it's worth a special night out. You can also take a walk through the art work on display there. more

Amazing. 11/10/2005

I am very rarely this impressed. When I first heard of Cinetopia opening I was very excited to hear that the buiding would also house a very nice art gallery. Not knowing anything else about the theater I was very pleased to find that Cinetopia was also home to a four star chef, a full HD theater, "living room" theaters, and a great staff of very friendly people. For me, Cinetopia was and is perfect in every way. I attend shows regularly. In conclusion, Cinetopia is a perfect alternative to our Regal Cinemas and is the best cinematic experience you can have in the Northwest! more

The BEST Movie Theater, Bar None! 10/17/2005

Some things are just worth a few extra dollars. Being able to watch a movie from a comfortable leather chair while you enjoy a lovely meal or a glass of wine--you'll never go back to the multiplex again. Cinetopia may have been created for people who love movies, but everyone will love this theater. State of the art video and sound make for a phenomenal viewing experience, but the extras--like leather club chairs and ottomans in the "living room" theaters (which are still well-spaced and in banked seating) or the comfortable large leather chairs in the stadium seating, the enormous amount of leg and arm room, the cleverly designed cupholders, the gourmet popcorn, the previews on a high wall in the lobby, the art exhibits--you may never want to leave. The food in the restaurant and "living room" theaters is quite good, but the portions are also very small for the price. Think tapas or appetizers rather than meals. But you can also get Pizzicato pizza in the lobby, as well as other dishes and snack foods, and take them into either theater. It's just nice to have the option to have someone wait on you and bring you a bottle of wine, especially for a special occasion. The crowd is a little more upscale, but that also means a little more, well, pleasant on the whole. You won't have to deal with people talking through your movie or letting their cell phones ring. That alone was worth the extra price of admission for me. It really is a lovely experience. If I'd designed a movie theater myself, I couldn't have begun to think of everything they managed to include. Go for the matinees if you want a price that is more comparable to the multiplex theaters, but it really is worth it to see a movie in such a great environment. Ånd it's locally owned and operated, which is always a good thing. Enjoy the show! more

New HD Movie Theater in Vancouver 8/5/2005

If you're looking for the latest and greatest in movie theaters, this is the place for you. They have regular theaters that have stadium seating and huge screens, as well as more intimate smaller living room theaters with paired seating, and great overall atmosphere. The main theater is an HD theater with a huge screen, and awesome sound system. This theater shows both mainstream and more artsy type of movies. Would recommend this to all theater goers. more
