I have to say that the Cinema Arts Centre is a great place to see original, independent and foreign films! My only warning is sometimes Vic gives a "spheel" (however you spell it!) before the show so be patient! more

After hours at the Cinema Arts Centre is the time for Summer Camp Cinema...a decidedly expanded demographic witht he bulk of 'Campers' between 18 and 45 ...This is the cinematic, pop culture funhouse where psycho-killers, lesbian vampires, flesh-crazed zombies, mad scientists, possessed teens, mutant babies, intergalactic creepy crawlies, & Dr. Frank N’Furter combine for a summer with no boundaries and limitless imagination! Stuff you won't find anywhere else 8/26/2005

Before you make the trip to the City because you're worried Long Island doesn't have the culture you need, check out the CAC. They do a good job bringing in the indie movies worth talking about. But watch out under 40s crowd, it's full of gray hair. more

The Cinema Arts Center is a tiny little theater located in Huntington, NY. They play mostly art films, so it is not of any major appeal to the mainstream moviegoer. If you want to go to film center, this is the place. If you want to see Will Smith killing aliens, odds are this place is not for you at all more
