If you're tired of going to the 20-theater multi-plex and long for the days when you went to the smaller and more intimate "neighborhood"cinema, this is the place for you. With only six theaters, and films for "grown-ups", you can enjoy your movie experience as you sit in chairs that are placed so that no one tall can block your view. At the start of every movie, an usher comes in and asks everyone to turn off their cell phones (yes,a real person!) and reminds everyone to be quiet, and at the end of the movie, an usher is at the door to hand out mints as you leave. What could be more respectable. You feel like a human being and not just a sheep being herded into a seat. Ah, the civility of it all. I recommend it highly. And afterward, you get to walk around Santana Row and eat or people watch, have a drink or shop. All in all, a wonderful experience. more

Cinearts At Santana Row is a new theater that shows art house, independent, documentary, and foreign films. They do not have the normal popular first run movies but that is not why you would come here. I have been here and it is very nice. Everything is brand new. Seating is nice. Parking is plentiful. When you walk inside it feels as if you are transported back in time to an old fashioned art house. more

CinéArts is part of the Century Theaters chain, but is kind of a new type of theater, in that they only play independent, documentary, art, foreign, or indies films. The stadium seating is very very nice. The chairs are huge, they lean back, the armrests go up, all that jazz. And unlike regular theaters, it's not at all dirty and smelly. Can't complain about the digital sounds and the awesome visual quality either. And in addition to the good ol' popcorn and soda, Patrons can order gourmet coffees and teas, European chocolates, and French pastries. How high-class. Ha. more
