Cinco de Mayo was recommended to me by several co-workers so I took my family for dinner over the holidays. This place is BUSY FOR A REASON! There was a small line but they still managed to seat me in seconds, not minutes. We then got HOT CHIPS and salsa as we were sitting down. Our server was there quick, he smiled, answered our questions about the menu, and quickly made us feel like ""amigos."" I began noticing the little things that make this place special... little things like the perfectly colored and cut lime on my margarita. Their regular margarita is made with nice and smooth Sauza, not some cheap blended tequila. Its crazy, but I look for these things. So while I am enjoying my drink, we get more chips and the kids get refills without having to ask. They have this cheese dip that is magical, if they were to can this stuff and market it nationwide they would make a killing. At this point I am already completely thrilled with everything and dinner has not even shown up yet. I see servers hustling and tables being cleaned with the speed of a NASCAR pit crew. As expected our meal showed up lightning fast and hot. My fajitas were sizzling, everything was done just right, they even got my picky wife's order exactly right. I ordered the mixed fajitas with beef, chicken, and shrimp...they do something special to the meat that makes it tender and juicy, must be a special marinade. I have been to lots of other Mexican restaurants around town and the meat is usually chewy and bland... not here, Cinco's taste like I marinaded at home myself and grilled it in back yard. The rice is great, the beans are great, everything is great. My wife got the fajita quesadillas, I stole a bite, and yes... they are damn good too. We had fun, we have gone back several times, you quickly start to recongnize the regulars, now I am one. The bar is a great place to watch the game, nice TV setup, cold Dos Equis in a frosty mug. BEST MEXICAN FOOD AND STAFF IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
