Cincinnati Arts 11/14/2005

Rotating exhibits is what most people are looking forward to, although the permanent exposition is pretty good. Every room has something different, displays range from Egiptian artifacts to impressionist paintings. Museum is free on Saturdays for the permanent exhibit only. Watch for new things in the local paper. more

The Cincinnati Art Museum is located in beautiful Mount Adams. The architecture of the building should be enjoyed as much as many of the pieces they have on display. The art museum is currently offereing free admission, which makes it a wonderful place to take your family for a short outing. Be sure to ask at the front desk for any kids activities they may have taking place while you are there. We have been given treasure hunts for the kids to complete, which really helps them to enjoy and look at the displays. more

Best Professional Art in the City 8/18/2005

This is the place for good art in Cincinnati. Period. They have so many different exhibits that are mainstays and it’s even free on Saturdays. How much more could you ask for. The best part is the museum is the special attractions and events. They have evening programs that focus on different cultural themes. A few months back I went to the evening on West Africa. It was amazing. Definitely check it out…and while you’re in Mt. Adams, check out the view! more

Free Art Museum! 8/16/2005

Now that the art museum is free, we can afford to enjoy it as a family. It's nice for the whole family, but our youngest gets bored after an hour or two, so the short visits work best. The surrounding park is also worth checking out. They have rotating exhibits that are good to keep track of. Parking can be a challenge on the busiest days. more

Go on Saturday 8/15/2005

The museum is free on Saturdays and it's a perfect weekend activity whether with family or just by yourself. My favorite is the room with impressionists, they also have a couple of Picassos and a Madeliani... pretty good for a Mid Western art museum. For kids this could be a very educational trip as well. The museum has a nice little cafe where you could grab a bite to eat and listen to some classical music. more

Great Museum 8/12/2005

I am currently studying at UC and I took a class called Art History last Spring Quarter. The professor assignes us to write about an ancient artifacts at the Cincinnati Art Museum. At first, my first impression was, "Oh this is going to be boring and worthless." Well I had to go so I went. When I came there, the place was awesome. I could not believe that have a place like that in Cincinnati. There are many things and it was very enjoyable. They are not just artifacts but also some paintings from the old times and some paintings from the people of Cincinnati. It was actually a good experienced and I actually got an A in my project about the topic which is the Egyptian. Anybody from Cincinnati should check this out, from kids to grandparents. more

Cincinnati Art Museum 8/12/2005

A wonderful place to see a wide favorite of art. Whether you like traditional or contemporary you will find it here. The staff is knowledgeable of the art. Make sure you ask them about the pieces you are looking at, otherwise you miss little tid-bits of information that make it all the more interesting. Call ahead and see if there are days where prices are cheaper or students get in free. more
