The mission of the Cicero Public Library is to acquire and make accessible the information, materials and services needed by the residents of the town of Cicero, and to support the principles of intellectual freedom.Obtaining a library cardEvery resident in Cicero is eligible for a library card if they have the proper identification. Come into the Main Library with a picture ID and a current utility bill or a piece of first class mail with your name and address on it. Parents or legal guardians must present these items if they wish to obtain a library card for a child under the age of eighteen.If all documents are in a spouse's name, a marriage certificate must be presented with the required identification.Further details can be obtained by calling the LibraryComputer Usage PolicyAfter signing a usage agreement, Cicero Public Library cardholders in good standing are welcome to use the Public Access Computers. Usage is on a first-come, first served basis. Appointments will be made for the current day only. Time slots of one hour per day can be reserved. Access to these computers ends 15 minutes before the library closes.Appointments may be made in person or by telephone. Please have your library card handy when calling. Time slots will be held for five minutes. If you are not logged in within five minutes of your appointment, your time slot will be given to another patron waiting to use a computer.Further details can be obtained by calling the Library
