Ciao Baby

On a long line (they take no reservations) the four of us waited over an hour among loud scracthy and noisy speakers spouting out Sinatra and Oldie's melodies. We were moving along now and while passing the loud sports bar area I felt pitty on those having dinner. They were stuck between us staring at them and the obnoxious bar flies making noise behind them. As we got closer to the hostess desk I could hear other patrons arguing about who was being seated first. We arrived at 8pm, we sat down at 9:30pm. There was a glass partiton seperating the bar and dining room but unfortunately it was louder in the dining room. As the waiter approached and shouted out the specials I reached for my bottle of advil. Another amazing thing I noticed was the line for the bathroom was as long. I had to make three fly-by's before getting toilet time only to be rousted by disgruntaled patrons waiting outside. Pros: Lots of food at a modest price. My cousins 30th Bday Dinner celebration was supposed to be a joyous occasion but did not turn out to be so When i called Ciao baby 3 weeks prior to make the reservation for about 20 people i was told that they dont accept them...not a prob...but i was informed they can take what they call is a non-reservation????? They employee told me that it would make the waiting time much shorter than what it would normally be. I had no choice but to agree... i felt that the establishment was well worth the wait. So Sat oct 20th arrives and the place is busy as always. I make my way up to the counter and make my self known who i spoke too and that my party was here. So the hostess told me.. ""Okay the party were your going to be seated is eating dessert now... so we'll call you when there done and the tables are ready.. So we wait patiently...eagerliy waiting the table... the twenty plus minutes go by.. I head back to the hostess..the party whom we were wating to depart were still seated...I was assured agian that they were going to come get us... AN HOUR later after patron after came and placed their name was seated....I approched the Hostess and the manager who changed her title to a supervisor when i started questioning the table availablity... She then had the nerve to lie to my face and told me the party whom we were waiting for sat back down... When we witnessd the Leave 30 mins Prior. The table was cleaned and 6 other seperate party were seated while we were waitng.. She assured me that the wait would not be much longer... and when we asked for the manager we were told they are busy at first and then the second time that we just missed him. I Thanked her for her great service as me and my other 20 plus Black American family members left while the white patrons who arrived almost and hour later sat and ate. more

Overcrowded and overpriced 'soprano's' rip-off. Pros: lots of food Cons: you don't need to eat this much and pay for it. more

f I called this stuff swill, it would still be an upgrade. I could not even bring it home as I truly love my dog. I have, and I cringe to write this, dined here on 3 seperate occasions, and I must admit that over time they have gotten worse. I did not even think it was possible to go from awful to disgusting, but lo and behold this establishment has risen to the task and surpassed it with flying colors. If this was your intent, Congraulations, as you have achieved it beyond your wildest dreams. The waitstaff on the other hand was wonderful. The fact that they can smile while singing the virtues of this garbage is well worth the tip. Pros: Huge portions Cons: Huge portions more

I have been to this restaurant several times & everytime I go, I am never let down. The waits may be long, but that just tells you how good the food is! I would recommend the food to anyone. You can share everything & still have lunch for the next day Pros: friendly service, huge portions, delicious food Cons: long waits, small space more

be smart - come hungry! the portions here are bigger than anything i've ever seen, two can easily share an appetizer, entree, and dessert, and maybe even bring some home...the menu, while limited on its face, has some of the most delicious dishes i've ever tasted...don't see what you're looking for? just let your server know and they'll make it for you! highly recommended.
