My recommendation is to avoid the Rocky Mount Chuck E. Cheese franchise at all cost. On July 29, 2011, my 3 year old son was in a toddler play area and was attacked by a 13 year old and 14 year old (both boys) who were trying to steal tokens. The older kids' mom refused to offer any apology (she did acknowledge that her kids had a ""hitting"" problem). The manager was contacted. The manager offered no acknowledgement of the assault and no apology for the action that took place. The manager would not even comment that the older kids shouldn't have been in an area supposedly restricted to toddlers. Even shown visible hand prints on the back of my son were not enough to even merit any concern. I contacted the headquarters and summarized the events that took place and requested a simple apology from the manager who ignored a crying 3 year old in favor of 2 older kids. This place is a zoo with no supervision, no management and no desire to provide any service. If the marks left on my son turned into bruises, I would have filed a lawsuit against this place. I strongly encourage any parent to not take your children to the Rocky Mount location. Based on my observation, a safer environment would probably be the local detention center.
