This is Forrest responding to the review posted by a daughter. I had been doing her mothers hair since the late 90's. Around the mid 2000's she stopped coming to me (budget concerns) for about 3 yrs. Upon returning, she stated I was the only stylist that would schedule the extra time that was needed to complete a thorough consultation prior to work performed and that she appreciated the time I took to do so. During the years I spent with her she regularly commented on how she loved her haircuts AND my round brushing/blow drying, a 95% success rate. As far as her hair color was concerned I had about an 80% success rate. You don't retain a client for many years without them appreciating and liking or loving the work performed. \r

As any stylist knows, a small percentage of clientele are never satisfied or claim to be or it seems to be, due to the dynamics of a consultation and comments made at a return appointment. This was the case with her color at every appointment. Some stylist/client relationships and its communication don't always connect. Sometimes the consultation can be over consulted. Sometimes there are just too many pictures brought and too many words said and therein lies the problem. Her idea of ash is not my idea of ash. Her idea of red or gold or brown is not my interpretation and vice versa. In the end, I felt I could not translate her wants, needs and desires and felt I was not the stylist for her anymore. Hence, and yes, whether appropriate or not, by txt, I offered to refund her money so she could seek another stylist. I felt I could no longer make her happy no matter what I did or corrected. She deserves to be happy. She deserves to love her hair :-)\r

And lastly, I never said I didn't have the 'time or patience to deal with her anymore'. That is untrue.
