Christine's Salon & Day Spa

My whole family goes to Christine's and we are commited to being loyal! When I am faithful to keep up with my hair care, I am asked by total strangers who does my hair. Without reserve I always send them to Christine's. Regardless of some reviews Christine did not give paycuts. The same stylist that have been singing Christine's praises and telling customer's how they would be nothing if she didn't teach them so much are the same ones complaining. Christine is a master color and sylist and willing to resolve any problems for her customers and give extensively to her stylist. She sincerely wants the customer to be pleased! This is a great forum for disgruntled workers to "hide behind"- you want reviews from customers...not people with "hidden names". Go to Christine's and tell them Shelia sent you on city search! Christine's Salon and Spa have always given me and people I know the best hairstyles, spa treatments, and manicures etc . . . They know exactly what style your going for or interested in. They will always satisfy your every need. The employees are very nice and highly professional and don’t gossip like other salons do, so if you are looking for a place to come relax & be pampered, it’s the place to go. I have always trusted Christine and the employees’ w/my hair. I have never seen the salon dirty or never heard gossiping of any sort. The salon has character, people are just to blind 2 see it. I have to say that i was very excited to go to christines. I was recomended to go see Karie by a friend of mine. When I came in for my apt i found out that she was no longer there. Christine the owner was there. I reluctanly agreed to let one of the other girls do my hair. The whole time all i heard was Christine complianing and wispering and my stylist talking about things i could have gone without knowing. I was not happy, but my concerns were just brushed off. Very poor. The only up is one of the girls slipped me a card with where i would find Karie. Thank You! I now have a salon and stylist I love! I made my mom an appointment for 10am. That night I decided that I wanted a cut and highlights too. When I called they only had a 4 o?clock open so I thought I would just pray they had a cancel. The girls were super friendly. I asked if they had an opening and the lady doing my moms hair (Susan) said she would squeeze me in while my mom?s color was setting. As I was waiting this girl was walking around cleaning. She must have spring cleaned the whole place while I was there. She even took the products off the shelves to wipe them down. When it was time for my hair Susan was very thorough in asking my opinion on length and style. She did have an appointment at 1 o?clock and I had kind of snuck myself in so I told her that I could dry it at home. She responded with ?No way! It?s a new cut and I want you to see how it turned out? I thought that was so nice! The girls all worked together as a team ( if one girl wasn?t busy they would wash hair for someone else). I really liked that. In the end Susan finished just in time for her next appointment and both my mom and I loved our hair. My mom even said she wanted the same cut I got next time! Pros: clean, very helpful, and you can tell they are up on the new trends Cons: You might want to look for a picture ahead of time because they didn't have too many books. more

All i wanted was a little razoring on the sides of my hair. I came out with hair cut above my ears, which was uneven EVERYWHERE. When i came into the salon, the girl who was to cut my hair, Kim, didn't even sit me in her chair to look at my hair and ask me what i wanted done. She took me straight back to the wash area and was ready to wash my hair until i stopped her. I told her specifically what i wanted: just a little razoring on the sides to help my hair flow better. I explained that i had recently had it cut at another salon and that i DIDN'T need any lenght cut off. Then i asked if she could help me. She assurred me that she understoond exactly what i wanted, so i allowed her to proceed. Within 5 or 10 min. she had destroyed my entire head of hair. I couldn't tell what she was doing, because she was working so fast. I thought for sure that i was just seeing things when i looked in the mirror. I thought if i went home and colored it and styled it myself that maybe it wouldn't be so bad. NOT THE CASE. I went back to the salon, but Kim wasn't there. The girls there knew i had just left, so they refunded my money and attempted to fix my hair the best they could. That meant cutting about 3 in off the length. My bangs are not even either. One part is about 1 in. shorter than the other. We couldn't fix that or i would look even more ridiculous. I was so horrified by how i looked, that i went and bought a wig that i continue to wear. I wrote Christine a long letter, informing her of my experience and i asked her what she planned to do to help me. It's been almost 3 weeks and i have yet to hear from her. I wouldn't recommend this salon if the haircut was free. Pros: none Cons: don't listen to what you want more

I was looking to relax, and was only able to sit and listen to a stylist complain and discuss issues I was not concerned with. Other than that everything thing was fine. I just wanted to relax. I have a hard time finding people that are not discussing their personal lives with everyone... more

A few years back I visited Christines for a massage treatment. Yesterday 12/4/2006 I went back for another. Both times I was treated and greated in the up most professional way. The employees were very attentive and friendly. I know of other who have gone there for hair cuts and other spa procedures and having nothing but HIGH remarks to say. Please do not judge this book by it's cover. Stop in and see for yourself. Don't go by other words or mine... It's worth a try. I know I will go back! My Aunt Chrissy is the owner of Chrisitine's Salon and Spa, and a very good one at that. I admire her a lot and look up to her for all she does. I am currently going to Vo-Tech for my school to go to be a cosmetologist. I want to follow right in her footsteps. She and all the people that work for her have an awesome attitude, and are very talented people. Everything is awesome their wether your getting your hair done or your getting a spa treatment. It's all wonderful. She has a very sucessful business and I hope someday I turn out just as well as she did. My Aunt Chrissy is my hero because she believes in what she does and always strives for the best!! I recently got a spa pedicure at Christine's Spa and Salon. They went out of their way to fit me in for an appointment. Carrie was my pedicurist. It was incredibly relaxing! It was definitely the best pedicure treatment I have ever received and I have had pedicures in Mt. Lebabnon, Sewickley, and Beaver County. I especially liked the Parafin Wax Treatment! I would strongly recomend anyone wishing to find a salon or spa to take a look for themselves at Christine's Salon and Spa . It is a very friendly place with very talented people . They will go out of there way to accomadate your needs . I found the Day Spa to be a retreat for anyone wishing to be pampered ! They deserve their Best in the Valley #1 rating ! Not worth your time. Glorified salon with no charicter. Not what you would expect from the " Voted #1" spa. But, everyone has her own idea of what is worth paying for. Just not for me... Cons: cold , unfriendly, unclean more
