Christian Science Reading Room is a throw-back to another era of dime-store religion and walk-in respites. It is much more a quiet respectfulitl place to
rest, read or reflect. Though it sits square in the middle of Church Street, it is definely not a church. It feels juch more like a quiet salon, tiny library or even-- no irony intended here -- a doctor's waiting room than a religious institution. Daily newspapers and Christian Science publications areneatly laid out, much more as accoutrements to the experience is sititng in nice easy chairs sorounded by galss and mirrors. Others come and go in this quite but not overly silent place.
