Christian City's first cottage for abused and abandoned children opened in 1965. Today, there are almost 1,000 residents living on the Christian City campus in south metro Atlanta, which has grown to more than 500 acres and now includes a full continuum of care for senior adults. In addition to The Children's Village at Christian City, the campus includes affordable retirement homes for seniors, subsidized apartments for seniors on limited incomes, a thrift store, assisted living/personal care home, skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, and an Alzheimer's and dementia specialty unit. Home health, hospice care and pharmacy services are also provided.
