Kelly came to our home to give the estimate. He was friendly, customer oriented in person but that's where it ends. Once the contract was signed he didn't return phone calls. Cory, the owner, did return phone calls but at times had an attitude & bad tone. He verbalized not being happy with his brother, Kelly for not returning calls. On April 26th, we were very disappointed to see the quality of sod, it was so dried up. We were told sod would be cut fresh the day of delivery. Sod was so dry that the dirt & sand got into our screened in pool. Sod was laid unprofessionally, we have a lumpy yard. The sod is of poor quality as it is loaded with crab grass, broad leaf weeds & varieties of sledge. We didn't know we were paying for weeds! They were suppose to repair two of our watering zones at the switch. We paid extra for the repair. Cory said he would be back the next day, Friday, the 4/27, to finish up some work. We discovered two of the watering zones were not coming on that night. I called Cory left a message pleading for him to come early the next day as the yard needed water. Cory called the next morning leaving message that he would be here ASAP, but was defensive about the sprinklers. He never showed or even called us. Monday,4/30, we hired someone else to fix the irrigation. One zone was not turned back on outside, one of the repairs was not properly done, the connection was not put on correctly, they broke a sprinkler in the middle of our yard & laid the sod over it. We have an area about 5'x25' that is dead. Also on Monday I called Service Magic to get their help. It took Cory over 2 weeks to return their calls. He let them know he was not going to replace that area of sod or reimburse for the portion that we paid for the irrigation repair, as nothing was in writing.. His invoice did not reflect the charge for the irrigation repair. I should have said I wasn't going to pay for that part since it wasn't in writing!
