Customer saw a posting for a 6 speed automatic transmission for a 05-07 Ford Five Hundred. The customer emailed and asked if it would fit a 2006 model because he needed the transmission. We told the customer it will fit. The 6 speed transmission fits 05-07 Ford Five Hundred. The customer purchased the transmission online and we shipped him the item. A week or 2 later the customer called and said we sold him the wrong transmission. He said it was completely different. We asked if his original transmission is a 6 speed automatic, since that is what he purchased. He said he didnt know. The Ford Five Hundred makes 3 different transmissions in 2006. They make a CVT FWD automatic, CVT AWD automatic, and a 6 speed automatic. He did not know which transmission he originally had in his vehicle. The customer purchased the wrong transmission. It was not our mistake. The customer asked what our return policy was. We told him he was responsible for the freight shipping cost and a restocking fee. He stopped answering our phone calls after that and sent us an email saying he would not talk to us on the phone. He gave false information and lost the chargeback dispute. We ARE NOT a fraudulent business. The customer made a mistake and tried to blame us and he did not want to pay shipping or a restocking fee, which is common charges for most businesses. Most businesses will not pay out of pocket for a customers mistake. No matter where you are ordering your parts from, always be sure you are ordering the correct part for your vehicle. Run your VIN at your local dealership to get all the correct information you need so the correct part will be ordered.\r
