For a restaurant trying to not lose their location I would think the staff and owner would have better manners. I have been to the Choo Choo twice for friends kids birthdays. I left both times feeling stressed and terribly uncomfortable due to the blond female owner's attitude. The self proclaimed "nicest person" was rude and obviously has forgotten the old adage of "the customer is always right".
The first time was two years ago and the service was slow, the kids anxious, and other tables keep being served before us even though they sat after. After bringing this to their attention they were curt and dismissive and then the owner came out and basically told us to leave if we were not happy. No Apology!
I was back today for a 3rd birthday. First the servers keep making faces, they took forever to respond to additional needs(a fork and knive please!).They kept trying to take the food before the kids were done eating and then after twenty minutes the owner came over and told us that we had to leave the table since we had exceeded our 30 minute limit?!. When my guest questioned her, again no humor, no apology just rudeness. The kids had just received their birthday cupcakes and there was only one party waiting at the door, but counter seats were open.
The women was threatening and seemed to forget that at that moment we were her CUSTOMERS. The extra kick in the butt was they just added gratuity to the bill. None was deserved.
Pros: Fun environment for kids
Cons: terribly rude staff and worst owner
