Choice Auto Repair

I've used Choice Transmission & Complete Auto Repair about 3 times over the last couple of years. Most recently, I used them a week or two ago. They replaced the transmission in my pick-up. It worked out great. I continue to use them because of their customer service, pride, and timeliness. They are all around great to work with. more

I will use Choice Transmission & Complete Auto Repair again in the future. I believed my transmission went out, and I mentioned it to a co-worker. They said they had been using Choice Transmission for several years and were very happy with their service. Based on that, I took my car to them. I took it in, and they did the diagnosis and took care of it. They called and let me know what was going on while they were doing the work. It came in right where they said it would, and the work was done in the time frame they told me. There were no surprises! It was not the least expensive option, but I felt more comfortable that they knew what they were talking about. I felt they were being real with me. more

Have used this business in the past, they do not make the customer a priority unless they know you. In 12/2012 I took my 86 Mazda in to have work done on it, Jason told me I had a crushed bushing that needed to be replaced. Total parts & Labor $350-$400. They kept it 3 1/2 weeks, then said the yoke had to be machined. That added another $250 onto the job. Got the truck back and the seal to the tailpipe is leaking, the same day it was "fixed". I was given a 6 month warranty and even called Jason to set an appointment to bring truck back to get it fixed, took it back on the day he set, Jason lied and said yoke had not been machined, but sanded, then the next day he said it was a new yoke installed. Now he says it can't be fixed unless the drive shaft is replaced. They have worked on that same truck for two years, and now say I have to replace drive shaft. And Jason told me this morning that the truck cannot be fixed. He charged me $658., did not repair correctly, did not bother to fix it when Jason set the appointment 3/22/13, they left it in their parking lot. Jason lied and said that they didn't get the outside seal, and only replaced the inner seal. He is not going to honor the warranty that I have in writing, plus I asked several times for a copy of the work order and they would not give me a break down of the work down on the vehicle. "Why attempt a repair if you do not have the parts?" I took the truck to Pep Boys and they looked at the truck and quoted $162.14 to fix what Jason stated "can't be fixed." And he had charged me $658. This guy has no honor, and I even recorded him contradicting himself in lies regarding work performed. I will be taking him to court. Jason I'll see you in court and with 5 on my side as well. I have proof that you intentionally ripped me off and charged me for services and repairs that were not performed. more

We always get great service from Jason and his team at Choice. A HUGE savings over going to the dealership and he stands behind his work. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else! more

For the most part Choice Transmission and Complete Auto Repair is good about the timeliness of the repairs. Sometimes it is very quick and sometimes it takes a bit so I have to check in. For the most part, they are pretty good and are always friendly. When the work takes a few days they check in to let me know. I have been using them about 3 years and I keep coming back because they are close by and our family has been using them for years. more

I've been taking my car here for oil changes for a couple years and they always do a great job. They've never tried to sell me services I don't need, the guys are all very nice, and my car is returned quickly...and clean. more

We had a truck that we took to them because the engine went out. They did the diagnostic for free, and called us back with what the issue was. They allowed us to do research on parts and pricing for other locations, and their prices were negotiable and fair. They were knowledgeable and informative so we decided to go with them. The truck runs great and has ever since we picked it up from them. more

MY TRANSMSSION ON MY TRUCK WAS SLIPPING PRETTY BAD WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE GUYS AT CHOICE. We used to go to a place nearby Choice, and ended up with Choice 'accidentally'. \r \r We have never gone anywhere else since then. I respect their work and have never felt 'set up' or a victim of 'bait and switch'. \r \r Jason and his crew have always been very respectful to me, and as a woman who knows 'just enough' about the car she drives, I am never treated like "The Little Lady", or spoken down to because of my gender.\r \r Each time I have gone to Choice, I have been told exactly what the problem was, was told right away if there was something else, and treated very fairly. I appreciate the prices set before me, as typically, I expect to pay more, and have for the same job elsewhere at the place nearby. \r \r I have taken all four of our vehicles in to Choice, and as long as I am living in the East Valley, I will continue to go to Choice, and send my family and friends there as well. more

Jason Halaby has adjustable pricing. You cannot get a straight quote from this place. If you cant afford Jason has a new price with the same service. I got ripped off here and towed my vehicle to another place. Buyer beware. Stay away from this place and find another transmission repair place. If you have to tow a little further to another place it will still cost you less than do business with these crooks. Pros: pros at ripping you off Cons: they are indeed cons and very well trained more
