Im sorry to hear about the problems with your pet......but...It is not uncommon for pets to have allergic reactions to the sutures! In fact it happens more often then you think! If you have a allergy to bees and got stung would you blame you Doctor for it? As far as kennel cough, it is air born and can be passed by contact with any another dog. There is actually a vaccine that protects your pet from catching this. It called a Bordetella. On the other hand I do think you should have been thoroughly explained all after care instructions. I myself have never been to this particular clinic, but have been employed in one for a very long time! more

I recently moved to town and went to see Dr. Kanipa as a family member recommended me. I took my 1 yr. old baby to get neutured. I picked him up later in the afternoon and received no explanation of the service and what they have done, what I should do. I decided to asked and Dr. Kanipa went to the bathroom right behind me saying nothing, his assistant said just go about a normal day. I asked about the stiches and she said it was self absorbed. Just 2 days later my puch developed a bad rash, I had to take him in again, Dr. Kanipa gave him a shot and again no explanations why it happen or if I should follow. Turns out the stiches were never self absorbed, and my puch developed Kennel Cough! from bacteria in his practice. I will never trust them with any of my pets again, now I make the trip to South Congress Vet Clinic in Austin. Cons: BAD SERVICE; NOT VERY CARING; NOT SANITIZED more
