Chip’s transport does not take customer service or communication very seriously. My car was picked up on a Thursday. I called the following Tuesday to get a status on the delivery and was told my car was “on hold” and was still sitting on their lot. I asked them to get it moving ASAP and that they had a 5 top 8 day window to get it delivered according to their policy. I was then told it was only 5 to 8 days after they had found a driver and that could take an additional 1 to 2 weeks. That was never communicated to me.
I had called Steve, the operations manager several times and left messages, but they were never returned. They knew they had a problem, but did not want to speak to me to try and resolve them or to let me know what was happening.
Once the car was moving, I was told it would be delivered on Saturday evening and that the driver would call me 12 to 24 hours prior to set up the deliver. I waited around all Saturday afternoon and evening, with no communication from Chips.
Sunday morning I was called by the driver and arranged to have the car delivered on Sunday afternoon.
This was 11 days after the car was picked up. I asked for a discount because of all the problems, but was told they don’t discount because of a late delivery, even though the reason for the late delivery was due to their poor communication and lack of customer service.
Needless to say, I won’t be using Chips Transport again.
