I brought my daughter's 7 year old cat, her baby, to chippens hill in bristol ct,because they had good reviews. this was her first senior exam, with bloodwork, etc. They were very nice and made us feel comfortable, we had an estimate for around $250,which we were willing to pay. During the exam they told us our cat had a heart murmur, which scared the heck out of us, so we agreed to do a heartworm test, which cost over $100!! Everything came back negative, but they want us to bring her back for more testing every 6 months. Since this visit I have called other area vets and all of them said they don't do heartworm tests on cats because they are unreliable. I feel like they completely took advantage of our fear and profited from it, I would not recommend them to anyone. Our new vet doesn't think she even has a heart murmur! Shame on them!
