Portion size is way too big. Not a good place to grab lunch when dining alone. Food is fine, but if you want to eat and go without massive leftovers, I can barely eat 1/4 of a b...

This is NOT the real thing 9/9/2004

I have no idea why this chain is so popular. Perhaps it's because there are very few places in the Twin Cities to get a burrito, but that doesn't make this place even worth trying out. Sure the burritos are big, but they are way overpriced and the fillings are far below acceptable (white rice?!). The meat and beans are unfavorful and the gaucamole is not fresh. Try a real ""mega"" burrito in areas of the country that actually make them right (and charge half the price) and you would never go back to this place. Cons: , overpriced, poor food more

Ah, behold the 40 lbs. Burrito! (almost) 5/19/2004

When the fast food experts at McDonald decided, ""let's buy Chipolte!"" Most people would have gone, ""Chi.. who?"" But today, thanks to crafty advertising, and FANTASTIC food, Chipolte's are popping up all over. They sport a small, simple menu, yes. But their is not one item on that menu that is not good! Their burritos are magnífico! They are enorme in every sense of the word. Their chips and guacamole is extraordinary, and the prices are very reasonable. Chipolte is Mexican food that will actually fill you up! Cuatro estrellas! more

Chipotle 4/9/2004

I'm from North Dakota and have eaten at Chipotle several times while visiting the cities. They have the best food! It is authentic and you get a lot for your money. Pros: Authentic food, Inexpensive, Atmosphere more

FRESH to the MEX 2/21/2004

Although I wouldn't classify Chipotle as ""authentic"" its so gosh darn good I could care less. A burrito the size of your head for under $6.00? If you leave here hungry or unsatisfied it would be a shock! Pros: CHEAP, Awesome fresh flavors, HUGE portions! more

Fresh Tasty & Cheap 2/7/2003

Forget boring fast food. Chipotle is fast, cheap, and good for you. They have a simple menu that you can use to create your own favorite meal. Try the hot salsa, it's not for the Minnesota mild crowd. Th interiors are great also. Pros: Big Burritos, Fast, Cheap more

what!?!? 2/7/2003

their food is sub-standard in flavor, freshness and variety and overall is a bad deal more

On a pedastal above the rest!! 2/7/2003

Wow. Now, this is a meal you can hold in one hand- and exercise your biceps with. I've only tried the chicken burrito, but have never been dissappointed. Everything's always fresh and hot- sort of the way other fast food places aim to be. Sometimes the line to order is out the door, but the 10 min. wait is worth it. Try the chips too. For something like .79, the lime tortilla chips are hard to beat. Pros: sunny dining areas, always fresh, tables turn quickly Cons: cold steel tables, onions in all salsas, can seem crowded more

Chipotle has great food. They also have very nice interiors. more

Yummy and Filling! 1/29/2003

This is a great place to eat at if you don't want to eat unhealthy and want to eat something yummy in a hurry. I am a vegetarian and it is usually very difficult to find something good at McDonalds and other fast food places. Their Veggie Burrito is a great filler and yummy too. I can usually finish mine in one go, but for those with smaller appetites, you can save the rest for snacking later! more

Unique Atmoshphere Makes it worth-while 12/25/2002

Subway meets Mexican. Unique, and original for its genre. Downsides are its bland, dry salsa which consists of the veggies they put in the tacos(unless you specify the spicer kind, then its over-watered); and very dry, cold burritos (don't let rice enter the burrito, it is evil, and will destroy all flavor, if rice enters, only allow in small rations) Pros: Inexpensive, Numerous Locations Cons: Salsa, Burritos often cold, Limited Menu more

pretty good 12/24/2002

Very satisfying, a nice break from fast food, and not much more costly. more

Los Subway del mar 12/15/2002

This place is the Mexican moral equivalent of a Subway. You just tell the guy what you want in your burrito/taco as you walk down the line. I had the steak burrito with black beans, rice, chopped tomato, sour cream and a big spoonful of 'hot sauce'. I sat by the window on a bar stool, took one bite and decided the burrito needed a little more sauce. I poured on some Tabassco. Bad move. Subsequent bites were 'fiero loco'. Good food. Next time I'll take out my order and hop over to nearby Lake Calhoun for al fresco dining pleasure. Pros: Big and tasty food, Good bargain Cons: Wait in line more

My Favorite! 12/6/2002

They have delicious food and huge portions at an extremely good price. The atmosphere is what I like to call ""Aztec Modern."" My only issue with Chipotle is that the employee's speak little to no English. In some cases, not even enough to understand what's on the menu. Several times, I've asked for a Vegetarian Burrito (which is directly off the menu) only to get a blank stare in return. Just try asking for ""extra"" or ""a lot"" of something! That said, I still eat at Chipotle at least once per week. Pros: big portions, excellent value, delicious Cons: customer service more

You say Chipotle I say MMMM.... 12/3/2002

This place is full of style and great food, everything is so fresh and colorfull. Pros: Huge portions, great Margaritas, Unique Cons: you have to buy chips, needs more locations more

AWESOME!!! 11/13/2002

AWESOME!!!! The best value in MN since we don't have the burrito places that CA has. An absolute, almost daily, must! more

Comfort food 11/8/2002

I can think of fewer places I would rather be on a day when I am hungry, have little time and need to study. The black bean, juicy tomato and chewy tortilla fill you up with some good ole comfort food. This is a great place to sit, eat a burrito and cram. Although some places don't promote lingering after you finish eating, this is one place that doesn't mind. Cons: Lack of parking more

Chippeto? 10/28/2002

Who cares if some cant pronounce it, its great! Fast, fresh, and yummy! You might have to listen a lil more carefully and repeat yourself (if you dont have the accent down), but its worth it. The meat is a bit on the spicy side! Pros: fast, fresh, portions Cons: language barrier more

jakador 10/28/2002

they have the best chips and guac of any place i've eaten Pros: inexpensive, fast Cons: waiting in line more

yuck 10/22/2002

This so called Mexican grill has very little to do with real Mexican food. To me this is just a glorified McDonald's. Pros: inexpensive, decor Cons: service more

NOT mexican food 10/19/2002

This food is no where near mexican food. I don't know how they can say they are. The burrittos are tasteless and dry. Whoever heard of putting corn inside a burrito? Made fresh doesn't necessarily constitute ""good"" food. And when you ask for specific things they give you what they think you should have instead. I always give places 3 tries before I give up. This was no exception. Waste of time, money and appetite. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: bad food, bad service, bad location more
